Job Overview

Manager, Sustainability Assurance

As the Sustainability Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of external assurance and internal audit services to clients to ensure that clients' sustainability reports comply with relevant standards and guidelines, and are credible and reliable.

• A thorough understanding of the principles, requirements, and guidelines set forth in the AA1000 Assurance Standard and ISAE 3000 (Revised) Standard is required. An AA1000 assurance practitioner certification will be an advantage.
• Strong auditing and assurance skills, including experience in the design and implementation of audit programs, audit planning, and report writing. Experience in identifying and assessing risk and in evaluating and testing internal controls is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in sustainability report assurance and GHG verification.
• Strong understanding of sustainability reporting standards and guidelines, including GRI, SASB, TCFD, and GHG Protocol.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Participating in internal audit reviews, risk and controls self-assessment, internal controls testing, compliance reviews, business process review and risk analysis, provide value-added recommendations.

For internal audit review:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• This position will be based in Singapore
• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Chemical), Business Studies/Administration/Management, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of working experience in the manufacturing environment, service industry or public accounting. Those with knowledge of risk assurance management, operational and internal control areas, supply chain management, internal audit are preferred.

Our client is seeking an experienced Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to oversee our compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CFT) regulations in Singapore.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investigation compliance, an in-depth understanding of AML/CFT laws and regulations in Singapore, and be approved by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for a similar role. This is a pivotal role within the business and experience in developing technical documents, writing reports, presenting quality compliance status information, data analysis, metrics and general overviews to the leadership team and customers is essential. The Quality Manager is responsible for monitoring and driving compliance to meet certification and PACT Group requirements. Working under the direction of the Site Manager this role addresses quality concerns and facilitates and drives solutions that lead to customer satisfaction and significantly reduced plant costs. In this visible role, you will lead a team of 6 Quality Assurance personnel across a 24/5 operation and report to the Site Manager.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Comply with Workplace Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Engage in Safety walks, safety audits and WH&S campaigns
• Report workplace hazards
• Ensure that the Quality Management System conforms to Customer, PACT, ISO 9001 and other certification, regulatory and legal requirements
• Drive quality projects across the site- Manufacturing and laboratory
• Manage and develop QA/QC activities including coordination of day-to-day duties for QA/ QC employees- oversee the QC lab including staff, equipment and testing activities
• Execute processes, QMS/ documentation control change control, risk management, risk assessment, non-conformance and CAPA management, 3rd party management, Customers and New Projects in compliance with relevant standards.
• Ensure continuous improvement of quality systems and processes through internal and external audit processes
• Ensure GMP compliance is implemented across QC/QA departments - implementation and maintenance of required standards, test methods, specifications, and procedures.
• Report on the performance of the QMS including the specific needs for improvement.
• Conduct periodic management review meetings. Work closely with customers, employees and external contractors to ensure requirements are understood and met.
• Maintain quality standards, specifications and process control plans to facilitate the manufacture of packaging that meets customer expectations.
• Ensure Quality assurance procedures are implemented throughout the process and audit for compliance.
• Maintain the program for timely and accurate inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
•   Lead the investigation of internal and external quality incidents and CAR’s, ensuring timely reporting, effectiveness of preventative actions and timely close out.
• Ensure all relevant staff associated with manufacturing are trained in key quality activities and processes.

Your skills and experience

• Tertiary qualifications in Science, Manufacturing or Engineering required or  extensive Quality Management Experience.
• Internal audit qualification preferred.
• HACCP/ Food Safety qualification desirable.
• Extensive experience as a Quality Manager in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing sites certified to at least two of the following standards. ISO9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, CODEX HACCP.
• Proven people leadership to drive quality improvements with a collaborative and enabling approach.

The Client Onboarding and Documentation (CO&D) program is a cross-business program focused on building a global platform to streamline the Client On-boarding and Documentation process. This transformation program's goal is to implement a standardized and consistent Client on-boarding approach across J.P. Morgan Chase Commercial and Investment Bank in order to deliver a best-in-class client experience. It includes specific groups such as WKO (Wholesale KYC Operations) and DDS (Digital Document Services). CO&D is supported by Operations Control Management (OCM) team whose role is to develop and manage a Control Program in each region that identifies and monitors significant risks and ensures compliance with operational policies, control procedures and legal/regulatory requirements.

As a CO&D Control Manager within OCM team, you will be responsible for managing the controls agenda in the APAC region whilst supporting global mandate including identifying and monitoring significant risks, ensuring compliance with operational policies, control procedures, and legal/regulatory requirements, and managing several engagements (e.g. Regulatory Exams, Regulatory Reporting, Internal/External Audits and Compliance Monitoring and Testing activities), special projects and risk assessments. You will partner with critical stakeholders including Operations, Cross-Regional control managers, Compliance, Technology, and Audit to ensure alignment to firmwide standards.

Job responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of Engagements across CO&D remit including regulatory exams, internal audits, external audits, compliance tests and monitoring activities.

• Review requests for information from examiners, auditors, and testers, and in a timely and effective manner, prepare written responses, or coordinate with subject matter experts to collect, review, and submit responses.

• Manage the entire lifecycle of Engagements (planning, fieldwork, and reporting), where necessary.

• Develop and maintain strong knowledge of WKO/DDS Ops policies, procedures, and operating model as well as systems/platforms used to carry out these activities

• Investigate and analyze emerging issues, perform root cause analysis, and work with Operations teams to define and execute plans to resolve the issue

• Perform internal control reviews and record level testing to review processes and validate the effectiveness of key controls in the CO&D operational processes

• Advise on and continually reassess key risks and appropriateness of controls to ensure timely identification of significant risks and issues to support an evolving business & regulatory environment.

• Develop a cohesive and effective partnership with Senior Business leaders, LOB Compliance teams, local and regional onboarding and banking teams, Oversight and Controls, Legal, Internal Audit and Operations.

• Understand and become familiar with the various data sources, platforms and tools including the flow of data from source systems.

• Provide strategic, clear, and regular updates and key messages to management regarding significant matters, including potential issues requiring timely escalation and resolution.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience required in AML/KYC, Compliance, or Risk/Controls within the Investment/Corporate Banking business of a financial institution

• Strong understanding of AML/KYC/Operations knowledge, including familiarity with onboarding/KYC lifecycle, systems, and platforms

• Knowledge of Operational risk management concepts; ability to understand and interpret the impact of policy and procedural changes, as well as identify and convey potential problem areas.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with fluid regulatory and business requirements
