Role Overview:
As the Head of Metering, you will take ownership of retail business operations, effectively leading and managing the operational team responsible for day-to-day activities. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the Metering team, including both BAU and Smart Metering operations, while collaborating closely with key stakeholders.
• Enhance first-time right billing performance by effectively managing the meters to cash cycle and supporting debt prevention efforts.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and assist the debt team in legal disputes by providing accurate metering information.
• Oversee the performance of smart metering infrastructure, maintaining service levels and compliance with contractual obligations.
• Proactively identify and address business risk factors, ensuring operations remain adaptable to the evolving energy industry.
• Support the field team with metering and debt-related inquiries, managing relationships with DNO, MEM, and third parties.
• Develop and monitor operational KPIs, reporting on technical performance and adherence to standards.

• Select and manage external third-party providers to enhance operational systems and processes.

Department description

Own essential administrative work to support the activities of our field agents and schedulers. To maintain and accurately update customer accounts and internal data sources to accurately reflect the activity of a Field Debt Solutions Agent or third party field agent in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Completing initial and final checks on accounts to ensure suitability for Warrant execution
• Taking calls from to support scheduling activities
• Monitoring and completing work within task lists to minimise drop off and ensure we are adhering to regulatory time frames
• Monitoring and chasing allocation of payments made to field agents by cash or cheque and ensuring they are allocated no later than two working days after populating the database
• Printing and distributing Local HR letters and Local court letters
• Creating electronic court packs to either central courts or field agents attending court
• Supporting Schedulers with Court bookings and payments
• Compiling and sending Locksmith/third party 'D3' report to agents on a daily and weekly basis
• Update Agents/third party agents with Locksmith and dog handler details
• Ensuring all actions and behaviours treat our customers fairly and comply with regulations
• Working daily warrant application reports
• Provide any business updates via SMS to Field debt solutions which includes Authorisation SMS
• Providing ad-hoc support to the wider department when required
• Monitoring of Scheduler mailbox and responding to any local court requests

Our client, a leader in Nuclear Generation require a Materials/Warehouse Technician to join their team on site at Torness. Working as a member of the Materials Team, you will be providing a comprehensive stock management service to support the safe and effective operations and maintenance on site. Due to the nature of Nuclear Power Stations, during specific station events you may be required to work a weekend on a rota basis during the course of the event. You will need to hold a UK Driving Licence for this position.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:

• Experience working in a Parts Warehouse/ Logistics environment is essential.
• An ability to interpret and interrogate product datasheets and certification as well as general spreadsheet data.
• Excellent communication, written and verbal, with ability to multi-task and a keen eye for attention to detail.
• Competent with Microsoft Office applications and general IT proficient
• Forklift licence (counter-balance and reach truck) Not essential as training will be given, but preferential

Role information:

• Receipt and inspection of spares and materials, including reviewing documentation to ensure adherence to specification.

• Cycle counting and in-warehouse parts life management.
