Pay rate: Up to £23.80ph depending on experience.
Location: Torness, Dunbar
Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 5 days
Our client, a leader in Nuclear Generation requires an Outage Planning Engineer at their site in Torness, Dunbar.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience:
- Experience within Project planning/management.
- Posses a HNC or equivalent in a engineering discipline or relevant.
- Enthusiasm, drive, ownership and the ability to facilitate change.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work in cross-functional working groups.
Role information:
- Develop fully logic linked and resourced task level plans for specific plant areas, review historic similar plans to identify differences and review these with appropriate Station departments.
- Manage 'Scope Change' during preparation phase and include details of risk mitigations
- With the outage plant area lead run the area outage preparation meeting, managing the agenda, recording and tracking actions.
- Maintain plans during outage execution phase by updating progress, tracking critical path, building in and managing the impact of emergent work and identifying any errors / improvements required in the plan
- Working with Operations to check and revise plans to maintain Tech Spec and other compliance requirements and to maximise 'Defence in Depth'
- Support activities to deliver Pre-Outage Milestone Plans (POMP) for both statutory, off load refuelling outages and Fuel Route outages.
- Liaise with the operational work planning team to ensure that pre and post outage work is identified and delivered as required to support successful outages
