The leisure attendant is the backbone of the Spa, Wellbeing and Fitness area, you will ensure that is presentable at all times and the fundamental health and Safety checks are conducted. The leisure attendant is dedicated to guest service and interacts personally with guests and members.

Your interaction with our guests will help determine whether they want to return to our spa and recommend us to their friends and family. We are committed to providing our guests with exceptional and friendly service while consistently exceeding their expectations.

Some duties and responsibilities of a Leisure Club Assistant include:

• Supporting with the opening and closing of the department.
• Ensuring all wet areas are clean, tidy, free of debris and where required have appropriate signage alerting guests of any hazards.
• Ensuring the changing rooms are clean, tidy and free of debris. Where you identify shortfalls correct them and ask for support where it is required.
• Conducting regular testing of the pools. Record your findings in line with the approved guidelines, where closure is required inform your manager without delay.

Food & Beverage Assistant

Our Food and Beverage Assistants have a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients and what is available for that day.

In the role of a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will provide consistent levels of excellent service, you will be courteous, professional, and have a passion for what we do. You will help to drive sales within the Food and Beverage department while being an ambassador for Champneys.

Some duties and responsibilities as a Food and Beverage Assistant include;

• Ensuring the Food and Beverage areas are well presented, inviting and to the to the standard our guests expect.
• Having a complete knowledge of all food & beverage menus enabling you to provide accurate and enticing product descriptions including knowledge on dietary needs, calorific values, and basic nutrition to guests.
• Taking reservations and orders, and serve guests with drinks and meals in accordance with Company and hotel standards and procedures and taking every opportunity to upsell.
• Maintaining a clean working and dining area and maintain cellar areas in a clean, safe and hygienic condition in accordance with Company standards and procedures.
• Rotate bar stocks and maintain sales displays according to Company and hotel guidelines.

Chef de Partie

Our Conference and Events team at Mottram Hall help the magic happen, whether it be a dream wedding, exclusive event or a team meeting, our Food & Beverage Assistants within this area ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of everything food and drink related. If you like large scale events and a job where no two days are the same this team is for you.

With 9 conference rooms, our conference hub area is generally always full with new and existing clients.
We work at exceptional pace and on some occasions need to be reactive to our guests changing needs, this is where we become adaptable and resourceful and exceed guest expectations.

Some duties and responsibilities include;

• To undertake mis en place duties and to check they have all been carried out to the required standard.
• To ensure all crockery, cutlery and glassware are clean and laid correctly to the required standard.
• To ensure all work areas are clean and tidy to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
• To understand the menu which is to be served and prepare and breakdown buffet/function tables as appropriate.
• Always be polite and professional to maintain a good image of Champneys.

• In conjunction with the Food & Beverage Manager and Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, you will ensure the highest of standards are in place and a professional service at all times in our dining areas.
• Provide a memorable customer experience.
• Assist with the day to day running of the department and deputising in the absence of the Assistant Restaurant Manager.
• Have an excellent knowledge of the preparation and content of all dishes on the restaurant menu and be able to advise guest when they are ordering, taking care to note special requests.
• Ensuring all literature available for our guests and have sound knowledge on calorific values and basic nutrition in order to advise guests on their menu choices

Fitness Instructor

With over 80 classes a week, the days are filled with fitness fun. As a Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for providing high end and exclusive personal training sessions, tailored made to our vast client base- this will include supporting with the development and delivering of our fitness programmes. You will also be expected to teach classes, such as indoor cycle, aqua, stretch and body conditioning to name a few.

Some duties and responsibilities as a Fitness Instructor include;

• Working alongside an efficient and experienced team to assist in the day-to-day running of the Department/ Health Club to ensure that our guests and members needs are met, and they are provided exceptional customer service at all times.
• Supporting the management of the daily running of the health club, ensuring all challenges are resolved in a quick and professional manner, and ensure the department is meeting its targets.
• Providing feedback to support the development of the Wellbeing and Fitness team, feedback also extends top the development to our operating standards and procedures.
• Teaching fitness classes, both indoors and outdoors, and provide personal training to make our guests happier and healthier inside. Building your own knowledge and development is a big part of the Champneys brand.
• Exhibiting great communication skills and deliver all/any department information to all guests, members and colleagues effectively and maintain discretion where appropriate.

We require you to be qualified in at least one of the following:

• Exercise to music or equivalent group exercise certification.
• Level 2 Gym Instructor certificate.
• Level 3 Personal Training Certificate or Degree.

Receptionist

You will work alongside an efficient and experienced team to assist in the day-to-day running of the Department / Health Club to ensure that our guests and members needs are met and they are provided exceptional customer service at all times.

Some duties and responsibilities of a Receptionist include;

• Greeting guests with a warm welcome and ensuring the courteous and efficient process of checking-in, completing the correct registration procedure including offering a tour where appropriate.
• When checking out guests you will ensure all client accounts are settled in full, robe controls maintained, and guest satisfaction is checked. Where comments are raised you will share these with your team and where appropriate make an action for correction should constructive feedback be provided.
• Assist in the scheduling of colleagues and services by taking responsibility for pre bookings and bookings of all services offered and ensure that the billing of guest services is carried out correctly and in a timely manner.
• Keep up to date on promotional offers and upsell services to guests as per targets set, supporting the team in achieving sales targets.
• You will be preparing paperwork for the next day’s arrivals, making sure the information on the registration cards is correct, pre-payment made, and allocations match the guest’s requirements.

• You will assist in the day-to-day running of the department and ensuring your team are fully briefed on the day’s guests, bookings and food offerings.
• Ensuring all service staff are efficiently trained and have a good knowledge of nutrition and adhere to dietary policies.
• To supervise and assign tasks to ensure the completion of the daily cleaning of the restaurants, service areas and equipment and maintain high standards of professional service at all times in the restaurant areas.
• To assist and perform pre-service briefings and check daily menus with the senior chef on duty.
• Responsible for documenting all sales and forward all room charge receipts to front of house team to be filed in guest accounts.

A maintenance assistant and Champneys forms part of the team that is a responsible for maintaining our hotels to a high standard, ensuring they are consistently safe and are elegant in presentation both inside and out.

You maybe skilled in domestic fixings, these are great skills that you can apply to our hotel bedrooms and guest areas.

Some duties of a Maintenance Assistant include:

• Using your keen eye for detail identify areas or items for repair and ensure they fixed and back in service.
• Maintain our fixtures, fittings and property, some fixes or maintenance might be new to you, where it is full training will be provided.
• Working alongside other areas conduct comprehensive walk rounds and identify areas for planned maintenance.
