English teachers are vital in helping students improve their language skills and achieve academic success. This position is a one-year fixed-term contract, starting as soon as possible.
Responsibilities - Plan and deliver engaging and effective English lessons for students with diverse abilities and needs.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through ongoing assessments and formal exams.
- Provide constructive feedback to support students in enhancing their language skills.
- Tailor teaching methods and materials to accommodate individual learning styles.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create and refine curriculum resources.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Effectively communicate with parents and guardians, encouraging their active involvement in the educational process.
Requirements - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service is required.
- At least 3 months of teaching experience in the UK.
- Proven success in teaching at an 11-16 school.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of English language and literature and a passion for the subject.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.
- Good organisational skills and teamwork capability.
- Knowledge of the UK education system and curriculum.
