Bedfordshire Talking Therapies provides a range of therapy for residents of Bedfordshire, including Low Intensity, High Intensity CBT and Relational Therapies.

This Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner post is a training role that ends with a Post-Graduate Certificate in Low-Intensity CBT. The post-holder will work within the service providing low intensity interventions at Step 2, whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role. The training post will equip the post-holder to provide a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based self- management interventions to patients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. The post-holder will attend all taught and self-study days required by the education provider (2 days per week), as specified within National Low Intensity curriculum, and work in the service for the remaining 3 days of the week, using their newly-developed skills

The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

The duration of the PWP trainee course is one academic year and will be provided by the University of East Anglia. The university course starts 9thSeptember 2024.

The interview process for this position will involve a half day Assessment Centre which will be held face to face in Bedfordshire (location to be confirmed). If successful following the first stage, there will be an online panel interview.

The successful candidate will engage with the PWP training which includes clinical assessments and academic work, therefore the ability to study and engage in university is essential.

Trainee PWPs work with patients who are struggling with depression and anxiety disorders and will juggle multiple responsibilities and tasks. An ability to empathise is essential, as well as organisational skills.

Being IT literate is needed for this role due to working on a patient database and liaising with other professionals by making online referrals.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced clinician to Lead the Mid Essex First Episode Psychosis Team as the Clinical Lead.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 or above Senior Clinician to become part of this team. The post holder will carry responsibility for the day to day operations of the First Episode Psychosis Team, as directed by, and in collaboration with, the Clinical Manager.

The scope of practice will include meniscal repair, chondral repair, ligament reconstruction, osteotomy, patella stabilisation, patellofemoral arthroplasty, trochleoplasty, osteotomy, partial and total knee arthroplasty.

The post will consist of mainly elective practice, with an option to join the middle grade on call rota (1 in 10 for trauma daytime work alongside the designated consultant). There will be exposure to two full day theatre lists, one predominantly soft tissue knee and one arthroplasty. The remainder of the clinical sessions in the week will be working in elective outpatient clinics, a knee trauma clinic, the revision arthroplasty MDT and a complex clinic.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. The post holder will be required to provide support within the Health Records Library, ensuring Health Records are retrieved and presented in a ‘fit for state’ purpose, and re-filed accurately according to Trust Policy and Procedures.

The post holder will be required to work as part of a team within the Health Records department to ensure the effective organisation and preparation of Health Records for all hospital activity.



The post holder will be required to liaise effectively with colleagues and other departments within the Trust in a professional and pleasant manner and to ensure the confidentiality of information, and patient details, is adhered to at all times, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, Caldicott Guidelines and other Trust Policies and Procedures.

A permanent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join the Acute Team within the In Patient Therapy teams at CHFT. Successful candidates will support the Clinical Leads and Team Leaders in the delivery of Occupational Therapy interventions across the Medical and Elective Orthopaedic wards within the Acute Therapy Team at Calderdale Royal Hospital, and support in the development of the service and its staff. There will be opportunities to be involved in local and Divisional projects which contribute to the overall vision of the organisation.

Applicants should be aware that we provide a 7 day service provision and the successful candidate would be expected to participate in weekend working as part of their role.

Applicants must have had experience in the NHS at under graduate or post graduate level.

The role is mainly based at Calderdale Royal Infirmary, but if the service requires it, there is an expectation that you will also work at Huddersfield at times.
• To carry out specialist assessment and treatment of acutely ill patients across Calderdale and Huddersfield inpatient wards with the aim of preventing hospital admissions and/or facilitating safe and timely discharges and appropriate transfer of care/referral to community health and social care services.
• Determine a clinical diagnosis, develop, deliver, implement, evaluate and modify individualised treatment programmes and/or provide specialist advice, ensuring appropriate pathways of care and communication via liaison and referral to other agencies as required.
• Take part in the education and training of Occupational therapists and qualified and non-qualified healthcare / social series / education staff including medical staff.
• To support the Clinical Leads / Team Leader in the day to day running of the OT service within the Acute therapy team
• To support and advise within the wider MDT on the delivery of the service.
• To work across a 7 day service .

• Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and other professionals and to work collaboratively with health and social care community and acute colleagues.
• To work with other members of the MDT to ensure effective care pathways and transfer of care / discharges.
• To proactively and appropriately facilitate a seamless transfer of care and continuing therapeutic management of medical and elderly care patients between care settings.
• To work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary manner within the MDT, being able to aspects of blurred boundary working, where appropriate.
