Senior Manager/Assistant Director, Clinical Service Planning and Governance

Job Function: Administration

Key responsibilities:

The Assistant Director/ Senior Manager will be responsible for the overall functions of the clinical governance and quality assurance of Tengah General and Community Hospitals. In this role, you shall oversee the management of quality improvement training and programmes, review and update relevant strategies, policies and procedures, regulatory compliance, and accreditation.

1. Support the hospital Chairman, Medical Board in the strategic and clinical planning process including conducting Horizon Scanning, SWOT Analysis, Collaborative Benchmarking to establish and define the Medical Strategy and Clinical Service Plan, New models of care, patient journeys and care access.
2. Support in the establishment, translation the hospitals Key Focus Areas and Identified Strategic Initiatives, in collaboration with Clinical Heads, Clinical Directors and Chairs of Clinical Committees.
3. Lead the patient safety hospital planning workstream and support other hospital planning workstreams as required.
4. Interface with clinical teams and support departments to define and set up work processes in the new hospitals to ensure that operational and patient flow is optimized within the clinical service’s philosophy.
5. Work closely with clinical teams (Doctors, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals) on establishing required initiatives for clinical governance and performance monitoring.

7. Ensure the hospital meets MOH licensing requirements and MOH ESS Standards and oversee the hospital licensing application and process.
8. Develop the hospital quality improvement and quality assurance framework and to build up hospital capabilities in QI .

10. Coordinate clinical quality activities and ensure that clinical forms and processes are in accordance to standards.

Responsibilities:

• Identify customer pain-points in building IoT products, propose and conceptualise frameworks and solutions that help address these in an effective way
• Build proof of concepts, gain stakeholder buy-in and create product roadmap for execution and launch
• Execute product roadmap, to launch high quality products, at a fast pace
• Iterate with customers to refine the product such that it helps customers build their own IoT products at a record speed
• Work on defining product architecture that is reusable across a variety of potential user scenarios, as the product matures through various stage
• Build processes and systems to ensure high quality of deliverables
• Mentor and develop engineers across multiple technology verticals, include MCU firmware (C/C++/Rust), cloud backend (AWS/GoLang), frontend and phone applications
• Hire and setup high performing teams that can execute on the vision

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of experience, with at least 10 years of it in the Internet of Things domain
• Preferably hands-on experience with multiple of technologies out of firmware development (C/C++/Rust), Cloud (AWS/Golang), frontend and phone applications
• Experience in setting up and developing high performing teams is desirable
• Excellent skills in design and programming in at least one of the technological domains highlighted above
• Exceptional problems solving and analytical skills

The Royal Opera House aims to enrich people`s lives through opera and ballet. It seeks to be accessible and engaging, to develop audiences across the UK and to break new ground in the presentation of lyric theatre.

Our Technical, Production and Costume Department plays a leading role in ensuring our performances are of the highest quality by delivering excellence for every performance, rehearsal and event. We are now seeking to appoint an Assistant Director for Costume and Wigs to join our growing and dynamic senior management team, working closely with the Director of Technical, Production and Costume, Deputy Director (Production and Planning) and the two other Assistant Directors (Operations and Technical) to collectively lead, motivate and develop over 350 permanent staff, along with a pool of skilled casuals and freelancers.

This is a strategic role, working across a large department and having overall responsibility for the management and delivery of all costume (including wigs & make-up) functions in all ROH locations, including co-productions and hires. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record at a senior management level with a major producing venue or organisation. A demonstrable understanding of the costume production process is key - alongside a strong working knowledge of the operations of a large costume department.

Our ideal candidate will thrive in a complex and multi-faceted environment - offering both the leadership skills required to inspire and develop a department alongside the project, resource and budget management experience that will ensure robust and effective operational management and reporting. A positive, proactive leadership style and the drive to foster an inclusive work environment is essential. Proven experience of managing a large scale, complex operation and of leading multiple teams towards this aim will be highly regarded.
