Job Purpose
• Owns and maintains the overall AZAP Regional Architecture Blueprint & Enterprise ArchitectureAssets
• Owns and drives the AZAP Architecture Review Board process & execution
• Steers the AZAP Operating Entities (OEs) IT Architecture & IT Service Management functionstowards the target Group and Regional Architecture and Operating Model
• Provides oversight of the OEs Global IT Dashboard reporting and OEs' IT budget planning onthe technology & architecture areas
• Act as a trusted advisor to the Regional Head of Technology & Architecture, Regional COO, OEsCOO/CIOs, OEs Enterprise Architects and business owners
What you do
You will:
Regional Architecture Blueprint
• Owns and maintains the AZAP Regional Architecture Blueprint
• Work with AZAP IT Platform Leads in establishing & evolving the AZAP Regional ArchitectureBlueprint
• Track the OEs adoption of the Regional Architecture Blueprint
Architecture Governance
• Lead the Architecture Review Board (ARB) to ensure OE IT initiatives' architecture, technologiesand designs are fit-for-purpose and aligned with the Regional and Group standards
• Ensure all AZAP OEs projects and programs are subjected to the appropriate level of ITarchitecture governance
• Steer technology evolution of AZAP OE to be aligned with Regional Architecture Blueprint &Group technology and architecture standards
• Liaises with Group Enterprise Architecture to fulfill the governance role of the EA function in theAZAP region
• Consult with Group Enterprise Architecture for any architecture deviations that require Groupexemption approval
• Approve AZAP OEs architecture designs and grant architectural divergence requests whererequired
IT Strategy, Planning & OE Execution
• Participate in review of IT strategy of AZAP OEs and its implementation, and ensuring itsconsistency & alignment with the Global Architecture Framework
• Support the review of annual OEs IT Planning Dialog submissions to ensure alignment with ITstrategy and Group initiatives
* Take lead in Group IT Dashboard (GITD) review on the technology & architecture areas
• Support and coordinate the roll-out of Group IT initiatives
• Support and endure OE compliance to Group ITSM & ITSCM processes
What you bring
• Experience in engaging, building relationships and managing difficult conversations with C-suiteexecutives both internally and externally for business problem solving.
• Deep understanding of technical excellence and balance between commercial/business sense,risk, simplification, technology and customers' needs.
• Good understanding of technology advances in the financial sector and in business areas fromsales, products, reinsurance, underwriting etc.
• Possess Insurance domain (Life & Health and/or P&C) knowledge and experience
• Strong knowledge and experience of Enterprise Architecture methodologies and practices(TOGAF or equivalent)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate team management skills, minimum 3 years in managing a team
• Competence in direct and professional leadership of employees and managers.
• Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional, cross cultural environment.
• Experienced in building and maintaining productive working relationships, collaborating with
internal & external stakeholders and service providers to achieve desired business outcomes.
• Self-starter and capacity to act with a high degree of integrity and independence.
• Working experience in the Asia Pacific and/or European region will be an added advantage
• Strong stakeholder management ability
• Over 10 years of Experience in the Financial Industry's IT or Consulting, a minimum of 4 years of
Enterprise Architecture within the total career
• University degree - Computer Science, Engineering and Information Science, Business
