We have a new opportunity for a Head of Ecommerce Trading to join our growing Head Office team following an internal move. This role will be split across our York and Leeds offices and an element of flexible/hybrid working can be considered.

As Head of Ecommerce, you will lead our Ecommerce Trading Team based in York and Leeds, defining and implementing a high-performance strategy to maximise revenue and enhance the customer experience across our group websites. You’ll work across the brands to develop and deliver mechanisms for profitable growth and digital participation. This role leads on driving commercial performance, unlocking tech priorities to drive conversion onsite and identifies and delivers commercial opportunities. You will bring strong strategic and leadership skills to build, develop, and execute the long-term trading strategy. By identifying opportunities to enhance the customer journey, you will play a key role in achieving company growth targets.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:


Responsible for leading the development and implementation of the ecommerce trading strategy for the brands, including the trading calendar and merchandising optimisation (search, browse and navigation).
Oversee the implementation of trading and promotional strategies across the group’s sites, aligned with the brand strategies.
Drive optimisation of the customer experience onsite through best-in-class merchandising, campaign delivery and alignment with the marketing plan.
Lead the team to achieve KPIs, including conversion rate, bounce rate, average order value (AOV), exit rates, and traffic.
Analyse Google Analytics and performance reports and make proposals to improve product merchandising and conversion.
Lead the team to maximise profitable growth by actively seeking to identify sales and profit driving initiatives including product launch optimisation, option and size availability, payments, delivery and returns propositions and the multichannel customer experience.
Drive the CRO and development roadmaps across the websites including the development and launch of Mobile Apps for the brands.
Lead the international rollout and localisation of the website across Europe, North and South America and APAC.
Progress AI capabilities to drive the customer experience and resource efficiencies.
Encourage collaboration across teams, especially with brand and creative teams, to ensure timely product requirements.
Stay up to date with ecommerce innovations, online retailing trends, and logistics that could impact trade performance.

Required Skills & Experience


5+ years' experience in online trading/merchandising, including team leadership.

Looking for a Warehouse role to work Nights? Want weekdays only? Then look no further!

We have a permanent opportunity to join our Warehouse Operative Nights team at Upper Poppleton, York, to support the picking and packing of our customers purchases and retail store stock deliveries, Monday to Thursday 7pm to 6am (42 hours per week).

Pay is £11.70 per hour with an additional £3 per hour premium for night hours 10pm-6am making the night rate £14.70 per hour. We also have a voluntary additional training programme to increase your rates to £12.05 per hour and £15.05 per hour respectively. Pay is on a monthly basis.

Please note the first 2 weeks will be day time shifts to complete mandatory training.

We are looking for physically fit individuals to cover the 100,000+ square foot Warehouse facility who don’t mind some stairs and some heavy lifting. You’ll need a conscientious ‘can do’ attitude, self-motivation and not mind staying up all night!!!

Duties of our Warehouse Operative Nights include:


Unloading Goods in deliveries and shelving in appropriate Warehouse locations
Maintain Goods in put away rates are in line with targets
Loading outgoing shipments onto transport & off-loading inbound transport
Packing individual shop picks into default cartons for dispatch
Processing Recalls and Inter-Branch Transfers (IBT’s)
Maintaining a consistent stock picking rates to target
Manually Packing Orders following the correct procedure and maintaining packing rate targets
Keeping areas clean and tidy
Following Company H & S policy


About You:


Good level of physical fitness with ability to use initiative and have a positive attitude
Due to this position being nights you must be 18 or over to apply
Previous experience of working in a warehouse or picking and packing is desirable
Able to use computers and mobile devices to basic level (training provided)

We are further growing our IT Service Desk Team and have an opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join our IT department. The IT Service Desk is a busy and fast paced environment, with new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow, occurring on an almost daily basis.

Our Service Desk team support the whole business, Head Office, Warehouse and our ever-growing estate of Retail Stores. As part of the team, you’ll be part of the first line support for Infrastructure & Systems queries and at times will travel to our stores(pool car provided) across the UK and Ireland to assist in new store installations and configuration while working alongside our shop opening teams.

You will work closely with all areas of the business, delivering day-to-day support to numerous colleagues, ensuring day-to-day operations continue. You need to have strong interpersonal skills, with a can-do attitude and enjoy aiding colleagues who aren’t as confident working with technology.

This role is offered as a full time permanent opportunity, with great potential to grow within the wider IT department over time. You’ll be based at our York Head Office(YO26 6QU) and be required to do store visits and some rotational weekend working (1 in 5 - time in Lieu given). Main duties of our IT Support Technician


Providing high level, quality and timely support to retail, head office and warehouse personnel in line with KPIs and SLAs.
Act as the first point of contact for retail support, including EPOS, Back Office, Tablets and associated store infrastructure.
Build strong relationships with end users and members of the IT team.
Provide a spontaneous and quick resolution to incidents or service requests within internal SLAs.
Maintain the help desk including incidents, faults, service levels and response, trends, resolutions.
Escalate incidents to the IT Service Desk Manager and other IT team members where appropriate.
Supporting the shop opening team, scheduling, provisioning and undertaking new EPOS/Back Office installations.
To supply, commission, upgrade and configure Hardware & Software as directed by the IT Service Desk Manager.
Document and maintain settings and configurations.
Support internal compliance including maintaining Software License Management, PCI Compliance and Asset Management.
Carry out duties in accordance with Company and IT Policy and Procedures, contribute to improving and determining standards.

Checking shop picks passed into despatch area
Packing individual shop picks into default cartons for despatch

About You:


Previous experience of working in a warehouse or picking and packing is desirable

We are looking for a Purchasing Officer to join our team in our Head Office at Catherine House, Northminster Business Park York.

As a Purchasing Officer you will be responsible for management of company car fleet, focus on improved purchasing practices – quality and spend. Support inventory management for consumables and support business travel bookings demands.

Comparing market cost analysis across a range of products and services ensuring that the business is achieving market standard or better.

Key Responsibilities for our Purchasing Officer


Work within the Purchasing Policy framework to meet business purchasing needs on indirect products and services through sourcing of required products, negotiating prices and completing purchase requisition process
Raise Purchase orders, GRN POs and reconcile invoices in timely manner
Effectively manage annualised Purchasing Spend up to £500k working within departmental budgets across our breadth of suppliers for Tail- Grade B
Fleet Management – Managing the company car and van fleet including sourcing new vehicles, organising the collection and delivery of vehicles, pool car management, resolving fleet issues with company car users, monitoring milage, manage incident and accident damage issues via our insurers. Booking Services on all company cars
Support the business needs in terms of processing 40% of domestic travel bookings- flights, trains, hotels, car hire etc
Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery
Co-ordinating consumable requirements for new store openings
Reconciliation of Monthly credit card
Supporting the business in completion of Purchase Ledger Account forms


About you


Experience of working within a Purchasing role or alternatively within fleet administration
CIPS qualification or working towards, beneficial though not essential
Good commercial awareness and understanding of value for money
Negotiation skills
Positive can-do attitude
Personable – strong interpersonal skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage time effectively by prioritising and re-prioritising as needed
Good communicator (both verbal and written) with the ability to influence
Strong Microsoft skills, including Excel to a proficient level
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Self-driven and ability to work as part of a team
