Accounting Intern – Kacific

Kacific is a next-generation broadband satellite operator, headquartered in Singapore. Its purpose is to make a rapid and lasting difference to the people of Asia Pacific by providing high-quality, low-cost satellite broadband connectivity that will enable critical healthcare, education, and government services to reach unserved and underserved rural communities.

Founded in 2013 by a core team of senior satellite professionals, Kacific is backed by a group of investors with global telecommunications and infrastructure experience. Our first Ka-band high throughput satellite, Kacific1, was launched in 2019 to stream high-speed, low-cost, ultra-reliable broadband to rural and suburban areas of the Pacific and South East Asia.

Kacific is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Finance Team for a 3-month internship. The intern will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, focusing on revenue management, invoicing, reconciliation, and general accounting duties. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and work alongside experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with the preparation, verification, and posting of revenue entries.

· Support the invoicing process, including generating, reviewing, and distributing invoices to clients.

· Perform account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy between internal records and bank statements.

· Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions.

· Collaborate with the accounting team to manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.

· Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and analysis as needed.

· Participate in month-end and quarter-end closing processes.

• Support in ad hoc accounting tasks and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

· Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to handle data accurately.

· Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

You will work from Singapore and report directly to the EVP, Product Development. Your main responsibilities will include Responsibilities:

· Lead the Product Development and Innovation activity (excluding software), but in collaboration with the software team. Technical design and prototypes, product development strategy and roadmap, documentation, coordination with other Kacific departments.

· Market Research and Strategic Insights: Conduct in-depth market research to identify industry trends and opportunities, helping us make informed decisions.

· Technical Sales and Presales Support: assist in technical Proof of Concepts (PoCs)

· Business Development and Sales Support for PDI products: Support business development, maintain the CRM, engage with customers, and present our PDI products during events and video conferences.

Legal Counsel

Roles & Responsibilities

Primary Purpose of Role

This exciting role is to manage legal risk and ensure commercially focused, practical legal advice is provided across a scope of work, including corporate and commercial matters, to key stakeholders at all levels of seniority. The legal counsel will assist the business to proactively identify and respond to relevant legislative and regulatory change and advise on operational issues and strategic project work for the organisation.

This role will be based in Singapore and will be responsible for working with the General Counsel to assist key stakeholders across the business.

Key Accountabilities

· Assist in negotiating and reviewing a variety of commercial contracts with third parties from inception/renewal through to execution

· Offer strategic legal advice to stakeholders on a wide range of matters

· Providing corporate and corporate secretarial support

· Ensuring solid commercial management of litigation matters and legal briefs from the business with assistance from external legal panel of firms (where necessary), including appropriate escalation and reporting within the business

· Drafting new contract templates and implementing new processes for the organisation

· Provide advice on regulations that is relevant to the business

· Assisting with various corporate projects including sustainability reporting.

Technical Experience & Key Skills

· Commercially astute and ability to manage competing priorities and competing deadlines

· Managing stakeholder expectations with an open and flexible approach to all stakeholders

· Ability to work autonomously with ability to escalate appropriately

Qualifications

· Law degree with 0-5 years PQE

The Finance Manager for New Projects Funding will play a pivotal role in the achievement of the strategy of the Company, focusing on sourcing, evaluating, and managing financial resources for new and existing projects. This position demands a dynamic and strategic financial professional who can help the Company fulfill its mission by efficiently and effectively allocating resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Funding Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for sourcing and allocating financial resources for new projects in alignment with the CSR mission of the Company.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, including risk assessment, cost-benefit analysis, and financial modeling, to determine the feasibility and viability of proposed projects.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with project teams to develop project budgets and provide financial forecasts to ensure sound financial planning.
• Grant Management: Manage financial aspects of grants and funding agreements, including compliance, disbursements, and reporting.
• Due Diligence: Perform due diligence on potential partners and grantees to ensure the foundation's funds are being utilized effectively and ethically.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks associated with projects and implement mitigation strategies.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate the financial performance of ongoing projects, providing recommendations for improvement as necessary.
• Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to monitor the Company CSR footprint and provide transparency on project funding.
• Stakeholder Relations: Collaborate with project managers, donors, and external partners to establish strong working relationships and ensure alignment with project financial goals.
• Compliance: Stay current on financial regulations and ensure that projects are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
• Proven experience in financial management, particularly in evaluating and funding projects.
