Attenborough Surgery is a long established, award-winning, forward-thinking GP practice. We have a practice list size approximately 30,000 patients and are based over 4 surgery sites within 15 minutes drive of each other, serving the population of Bushey and Watford. We are <5 minutes drive from Junction 5 of the M1. We are a single practice Primary Care Network and a well-established training practice, respected for our collaborative working, training, teaching, and personal development within our team.
The practice clinical system is EMIS Web. We also use AccuRx, eConsult and other virtual platforms as well as Ardens.
We are a hardworking and friendly practice, with 5 GP partners, 16 salaried GPS, Nurses, HCAs, Paramedics, Pharmacists, Dietitians, first contact physiotherapists, and social prescribers, all supported by our receptionists and administrators.
We are seeking a practice administrator to join our team at the surgery. Working 30-37.5hrs a week. We are looking for a positive attitude, good organisational skills, good excel skills and communications skills.
A background of working in a GP surgery is preferred but not imperative.
Job Summary:
To provide a professional administrative service to the practice, assisting the two operations managers and the practice manager with various administrative tasks.
Job Description and Main Duties of Role
Assisting the practice manager and Operations managers to ensure the practice maximises its income from the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and Enhanced Services (ES) Contracts including sending communications to patients to invite then for annual review, calling patients for annual review, taking calls from patients booking annual review appointments.
Review recall lists to support the other contractual obligations of the Practice, this will involve contacting patients to invite them in for chronic illness disease clinics, vaccinations, tests, and reviews as delegated by the operations managers.
Support both the Practice Manager and Operations Managers with seasonal and various health campaigns to increase patient uptake.
Assist both the Practice and Operations Managers in producing information for clinical audit, screening, and chronic disease management to optimise recall and review process. Experience working with Excel, EMIS web and searches is therefore desirable for this role.
Processing claims for the practice as instructed by the Operations Manager and Practice Manager
Assist in dealing with complaints as delegated by the complaints lead at the practice.
Provide support to the Practice Manager and Operations managers when needed.

Essential
• GCSE English (or equivalent) - Grade C or above
• GCSE Maths (or equivalent) - Grade C or above
