This post is a Quality Assurance post specialising in Quality Management/GMP Documentation control and Quality Control.

The post holder be part of the QA team, they will manage the Quality Management and Documentation control systems across the directorate and potentially across Kings Health Partners (KHP)

The role requires experience in QC in order to act as the lead QA support for the QC department.

To manage and maintain a documentation control system across the directorate and potentially across KHP.

To support investigations into Out of Specification/Adverse Trend results obtained from environmental monitoring.

To write and update departmental procedures in line with current guidelines.

To support the day to day operation of Q-Pulse.

To manage the review and approval process for all GMP documents.

Reviewing WFI and microbiological environmental monitoring activities as required.

Reviewing EM data and preparing quarterly and annual environmental monitoring reports.

Quality Management and Documentation Control


1. To manage and maintain a documentation control system across the directorate and potentially across KHP.


1. To support the implementation of Q-Pulse to manage the department’s document control and quality management.


1. To manage the transfer of documents from current filing system to the Q-Pulse electronic Quality Management System.


1. To support the day to day operation of Q-Pulse.


1. (Using Q-Pulse) to maintain version control of all GMP documents.
2. To manage the review and approval process for all GMP documents.
3. To progress the development and review of new and updated documents.
4. To provide reports to Unit Managers on GMP documentation status and escalate any areas of concern to the QA Specialist for that area and the Head of Pharmaceutical Quality or Deputy.

Quality Assurance
1. To be part of the Quality Assurance team and carry out QA responsibilities as required, particularly in the Microbiology and Aseptics Units.


1. To support the QA team in the delivery of the QA service, meeting the needs of the pharmacy department according to the requirements of the Medicines Act, and licenses held by the Trust.


1. Assist the QA team in the development of the QA service.


1. To provide expert advice on QA matters to all areas with particular emphasis on Quality Control, Microbiology and Aseptics activity.


1. To assist in the drug defect investigations and drug recalls within the Trust.


1. To investigate patient complaints of Trust manufactured products.


1. To undertake validation reviews.


1. To keep abreast of the latestQA guidelines.


1. To write departmental procedures in line with current guidelines.


1. To carry out log meetings with relevant units.


1. To trend data from various Pharmaceutical Quality Systems and feed into Quality Management Reviews.


1. To undertake internal audits for the QA service.


1. With additional training potentially act as a releasing officer for all medicinal products manufactured within the Trust and for NHS units with which the Trust has contracts.





Microbiology


1. To undertake duties as required by the Lead Pharmaceutical Microbiologist.


1. To support investigations into Out of Specification/Adverse Trend results obtained from environmental monitoring.


1. To support investigations into Out of Specification results obtained from Water for Injection (WFI) samples.


1. To support the activities in the microbiology lab as required e.g. covering illness and annual leave.


1. To write and update departmental procedures in line with current guidelines.


1. Training new members of staff in aseptic behaviours in cleanrooms and introduction to microbiology.


1. Reviewing WFI and microbiological environmental monitoring activities as required.


1. Reviewing EM data and preparing quarterly and annual environmental monitoring reports.





Development


1. To investigate and implement the use of an electronic archiving system.


1. To undertake continuous professional development.





Training


1. The post holder will assist in delivering the ongoing training programme for new users to Q-Pulse.


1. Assist in the training programme for QA and QC personnel as required.

Deliver high quality bespoke career guidance appointments to students and graduates to allow them to make informed decisions about their future career.
Create and deliver workshops and group sessions (such as induction/class drop-ins) informing and promoting the student population and faculty members of our careers & employability service.
Help students to access and make the best use of careers resources and online platforms, using effective listening and questioning skills to accurately diagnose each student's need.
Encourage students to attend workshops and/or a 1:1 appointment with a Careers Advisor based on their careers/employability requirement, managing the booking system to ensure workshops and appointments are resourced effectively.
Actively develop knowledge of current careers and employability information and trends and contribute to the updating and production of printed and online resources, under the guidance of the Senior Careers Manager.
