This role is a contract position. The candidate reports to and shall assist the company’s Supply Chain Manager in driving contract management activities with suppliers/contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for contract obligations, pre-contracts, and post-contracts management.
- Prepares and administers contracts and purchase orders with specific suppliers/contractors.
- To assess and analyze contractual terms and evaluate the key risks and obligations under such terms.
- Fully involved and handled all contractual disputes.
- Monitor contract expiry and ensure all contracts are renewed in a timely manner.
- Manage contract master list and archive contracts timely with supporting documents to ease future reference.
- Manage contracts, proactively detect issues/potential risks, and take solid actions to improve contract closure.
- Monitor and manage contract management process compliance.
- To develop and sustain long-standing relationships with company-approved suppliers/contractors.
- Manage supplier/contractor onboarding by conducting interviews with new suppliers/contractors and informing approved suppliers/contractors of their responsibilities and obligations. This includes registration, background check, conflict of interest, training, etc.
- Manage suppliers'/contractors' performance by establishing standards to assess their performance, proactively detect potential risks, and take solid actions to ensure and maintain good performance.
- Perform performance analysis, contribute insights, set up realistic and stretching goals and KPI metrics, keep tracing, and drive efficient actions.
- Managing the key interdepartmental relationship.
Requirements:
- At least 7 years of working experience in procurement, pre and post-contract administration, planning, cost control, and contractual matters is required for this position.
- Experience in the petrochemical industry with a deep business process-related understanding of technical and operational processes, initiatives, and market trends.
- Excellent skills in managing supplier/contractor relationships, project management, strategic thinking, and networking skills.
- Passionate in end-to-end procurement management.
- Integrity, team player, pleasant personality, and a positive can-do working attitude
- Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English, proactive, highly motivated, and able to work independently.
