We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a civils contractor, primarily working in the waterways, environmental, water infrastructure, and district heating sectors. They are seeking to recruit a Project Manager to join their team on a freelance basis to carry out Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) works, as well as some management of live schemes. Typical contract types for this role are flood defence works on rivers and the coast, reservoir works, and repairs to pumping stations, culverts etc. The ideal candidate will have experience of ECI as well as delivering live projects in the environmental civil engineering sector.They have a flexible approach to off-site working, which can be carried out either at one of their offices, or at home if you prefer. Your core duties will include:

* Pre-construction activities such as early contractor involvement, tender programmes, optioneering and value engineering for build only, and design and build packages.
* Working with the Estimator to prepare programmes, methodologies, and budgets.
* Applying for Flood Risk Activity Permits (FRAP.)
* Responsibility for the programme, cost, and value of live projects.
* Liaising with the client to ensure projects run smoothly, and relationships are maintained.
* Administering the NEC contract. Raising contractual notices such as Early Warnings and Notification of Compensation Events.
* Updating the construction Programme to show progress and to demonstrate change.
* Monitoring and managing the health and safety compliance of the project.
* Preparing the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and monitoring its completion.
* Managing and supporting the Site Managers, Engineers, and Supervisors.
* Co-ordinating the temporary works, and planning safety critical activities, e.g. crane lifts, floating plant, piling, pressure testing.

Your skills experience and qualifications will include:

* Good IT skills.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
* Experience of ECI work.
* Design and Build experience (PC and PD.)
* Excellent time management skills.
* The ability to work as part of a team.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in the management of civil engineering.
* CITB SMSTS or NEBOSH equivalent.
* CSCS card.

The following attributes would be advantageous:

* Experience of FRAP (Flood Risk Activity Permit) application.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Security Support Officer to join our team, on an Ad Hoc basis, working within our Warehouse and Distribution depots, supporting our exisiting clients. You must be able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and excellent customer service to both our clients and service users.

As a Security Officer for Logistics Security your role will consist of various duties including but not limited to:

• Conduct regular and randomised searches on any staff or visitors within the site.
• Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the site.
• Ensure that any goods vehicles (deliveries or collections) entering or leaving the site are logged accurately on the relevant PC System
• Maintain a close liaison with Site contacts, other colleagues, CCTV Controllers and the National Security Manager in relation to any incidents.
• To help support the reduction in accidents and H&S breaches and minimise the risks to employees and visitors.
• Monitor, operate and communicate using all forms of equipment (Phones, intercoms, radios, email)
• Assist in site evacuations by following the procedures outlined in the Fire Evacuation Plan
• Always maintain strict Data Protection (GDPR) standards, adhering to the policies and procedures put in place in relation to monitoring, recording, extracting, and sharing of information
• To carry out, where possible, reasonable instructions issued by the site management team.

Our Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in the security industry (1 year)
• SIA Licence (SG/DS) required.
• UK Driving licence and access to own vehicle required.
• First aid certification preferred.
• Be flexible and able to work a mixture of shifts, some at short notice.
• Be physically fit and patrol effectively by foot.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain a high standard of personal presentation.

Job Overview:

Mitie is looking for Retail security officers who can deliver exceptional customer service whilst creating a safe shopping environment, free from crime and the fear of crime for customers and colleagues.



You must hold a current SIA licence or valid SIA certificates (licence can be provided) and a full 5-year checkable employment/education history.



Main duties:

-To deliver industry leading customer service

-To deter violence and public order offences

-To conduct patrols of the store

-Utilising CCTV systems to support the reduction of crime and stock loss

-Liaise with the store management teams

-Liaise with the Police and crime partnerships where required to foster a great working relationship to support the reduction of crime in store

-To wear Body Worn CCTV to support in the reduction of crime and increase colleague and customer safety

To provide and maintain evidence-based specialist care adapted to meet the needs of a defined community population to ensure that service users receive appropriate intervention, maintaining the standards set at local and national level. To be responsible for negotiating individual and family healthcare plans with service users, continually assessing and evaluating to ensure that agreed outcomes are adequately met. To work in partnership with members of the multidisciplinary team and statutory and voluntary agencies in planning, delivering and evaluating care to improve outcomes for service users. To work in collaboration with the Public Health Directorate to identify and analyse local health needs and areas for development. To identify and disseminate relevant research findings within health visiting practice. To base health visiting practice on accepted research findings and participate in local audit and research projects. To prioritise workload, managing time and caseload effectively, appraising standards of practice. To be professionally accountable for the work delegated to other members of the skill-mix team according to their competencies and workload. To take responsibility for assessment of complex care needs, develop and implement programs of care including diagnosing and prescribing treatments (from NPF) comparing a range of options.

To have detailed knowledge and the practical skills, in order to carry out, all security duties as stated by the NHS Safety and Security Directive, and detailed in the Ashworth Security Procedures Manual. OSGs are required to undertake the range of duties to support the security requirements of the hospital in conjunction with other staff. OSGs will undertake regular rotation both within specific functional areas and across functional areas once appropriate training has been provided and experience gained. This should be achieved normally within six months. This functional area of the Security Department is primarily concerned with the secure processing of staff into the secure sites. The role incorporates responsibilities for security monitoring and responses to alarm states in the entry building. a) Staff identification, and the utilisation of specialized I.T. equipment b) Key and radio issue/return c) Key security checks d) Vehicle processing including searching and passenger processing, (metal portal, XRay, heart beat monitor) e) Contractor/other tool checks f) CCTV monitoring, (entry building) g) Entry building staff pedestrian control h) Emergency vehicle escorts, (fire, ambulance etc) i) Alarm response states to entry building The roles detailed include operational activities such as:- a) Monitor the searching of hospital vehicles through the use of closed circuit television. Log the entry and exit times and numbers of people for all vehicles. b) Searching of vehicles on entry and exit to the secure sites of the hospital. c) Checking of security keys held in automated key cabinets, as per hospital procedures. d) Carry out statutory checks, as per procedures, to monitor the number of keys issued. Check the key cabinets for the keys that are issued against the shift pattern by use of computerized system. e) Operate electronic doors, both vehicle and pedestrian, via consoles in the Control Centre. f) Use the closed circuit television system to monitor the movement of traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian in and out of the secure areas. This functional area of the Security Department is primarily concerned with the secure processing of visitors into the secure sites.a) Visitor information centre b) Visitor verification, pre booking and goods/items processing, (metal portal, X-Ray search) c) Visitor processing at entry building d) Central visits North Site e) Contractor escort management and coordination f) Staff search, (metal portals, X-Ray) g) Staff goods processing/control h) Patient possessions processing i) Assist in the facilitation and the escorting of child visits Completion of the appropriate documentation on arrival and departure for all official visitors. Confirm that they are expected and advise the relevant escort staff. Check patients visitors are the approved visitors list and once satisfied as to identity, complete appropriate documentation. Provide a Reception service to all visitors to the hospital, using the visitors computerized systems. Phoning of wards and departments to notify them of visitors, following the hospital procedure on the taking of items into the hospital. Explain to visitors the hospital policies, such as not allowing plastic bags in the secure areas. The rub-down searching of staff, visitors and patients as required. The searching of baggage using metal detectors and x-ray equipment. The manual searching of bags. Please refer to attached Job Description for a full list of duties and responsibilities.
