Responsibilities

• The Manager – Fund Accounting is responsible to build and sustain a premium organization capable of delivering services in a high-volume, client centered environment where higher level of service requires developing/maintaining process excellence.
• The Manager – Fund Accounting is a sought-out business partner and resource for client requesting accounting needs by leading individual and team performance.
• Ensures that work delivered to clients are compliant to the Group and Company compliance policies as well as local regulatory framework.

Tasks

• Manage a team of accounting professionals to delivery accounting related services to clients.
• Encourages new ideas, approaches and opinions.
• Works together with the Associate Managers to ensure the planning assumptions and input are correct.  Accurately establishes capacity plan. 
• Evaluates optimal resource utilization between each team by ensuring staff allocation arbitration. Assesses accordingly the capacity plan.
• Ensures efficiency of operations to minimize costs and allows on-time delivery of services to clients.
• Works closely with the Executive Director to ensure client’s expectations are met.
• Manage the Accounting team to ensure that client deadlines and milestones are met.
• Ensures all incidents and clients’ complaints are logged and properly handled.
• Prepare and analyse the incidents and clients’ complaints reports to include immediate mitigation to avoid similar occurrences. Report to be communicated to respective committee/forum.
• Ensures invoicing is timely and full, including billing of all Ad-hoc works.
• Ensures Compliance and risk policies and protocols are adhered to by the entire department and deficiencies repaired and escalated to CDD without delay.
• Takes responsibility for the quality control in the department while promoting empowerment and ownership.
• Daily time sheet control and approval for his direct reports + overruns check and chargeability.
• Monitors improvement in processes and optimisation of technology.
• Leads continuous improvement efforts and projects to refine production methods and processes to produce quality services that meet customer requirements in the most cost-effective manner.

We’re seeking a result-oriented professional with experience in preparing, examining and analyzing accounting records, financial statements, budgets and other financial reports, independently handling direct and indirect tax compliance, statutory, tax and transfer pricing audits. 

The role will have a bifurcation 60:40 ratio, with 60% dedicated to tax and compliance and 40% to accounting activities.

Responsibilities: 

Accounting: 

• Review general ledger balances, understand trends and challenge any anomalies 
• Review and approve monthly Trial Balance, Balance Sheet & P&L’s reports 
• Finalisation and reporting of accounts on monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis

• Coordinating/interaction with auditors of respective entities for completion of limited reviews and year-end audit. 
• Coordinating/interaction with various consultant appointed by group for statutory activities and other consulting services 

Direct & Indirect Tax Compliance: 

• Statutory and regulatory compliance like Income tax, GST, TDS, etc.  
• Independently handling statutory/tax/transfer pricing audits 
• Track, prepare and submit responses to various departmental notices/scrutiny’s/assessments including representations 
• Miscellaneous tasks: 
• Effective interaction with other departments, units and subsidiaries of the Company for various activities on timely basis,

Citi's Internal Audit (IA) division provides independent assessments of the company's governance, risk management and internal control environment for key stakeholders including the Board of Directors, senior management and Citi’s numerous regulators globally. IA is a change agent within Citi to enhance the control culture of Citigroup worldwide and thereby support senior management decision making around the globe.

IA maintains a Quality Assurance (QA) function that reports to the Chief Auditor Quality Assurance and the Group Audit Committee. The QA function provides independent assurance that IA has achieved and is maintaining appropriate standards of internal audit delivery (set against both IA’s own internal standards and the Standards and Code of Ethics of the Institute of Internal Auditors).

The role involves close liaison with the global audit teams to ensure appropriate understanding, access to and the correct application of the IA methodology. In this role, you will be partnering with the audit teams responsible for risk-based audit for Data and Data Transformation coverage globally and also supporting the global QA team.

The role reports to the QA Senior Audit Manager in Mumbai.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate independently as a QA partner across the assigned SME audit teams, forming partnerships at all levels within IA. Support the QA Director (QAD) and Senior Audit Manager (SVP) in fostering a strong QA partnership with the Chief Auditors. 
• Provide assurance over the quality of IA’s work via formal QA products (e.g., Scorecards, Thematic Reviews, Hot reviews and Regulatory/ QA Issue Validation)
• Be a change agent in the continuous improvement program to deliver and maintain a best-in-class QA function, sharing best practices and lessons learned with the IA and QA teams
• Contribute to continued improvement in IA and QA methodology and coverage through the delivery of QA products.
• Assist in the provision of methodology training to auditors, including tailored training as and when needed.
• Assist with periodic ad-hoc projects (e.g., research and development of QA specific training).
• Assist in the review and improvement of global IA methodology and practices, including innovation initiatives.
• Assist the SVP and QAD in reviewing key internal QA deliverables and external deliverables.
• Establish and consistently maintain professional working relationship with key IA stakeholders; assist the QAD and SVP in maintaining IA stakeholder communications through monthly meetings as assigned by the QAD and SVP.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet strict deadlines, both internal and external (e.g., regulators).
• Willingness to assist other QADs on an ad-hoc basis to ensure consistent utilization.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in a related role and/ with subject matter expert in any one or subset of the following areas: Data Architecture, Data Extract, transform, and load (ETL), Data Quality, Data Modelling, Data Analysis, and/ or BI tools and Scripting
• Related certifications (CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA or certifications on data science or analytics) preferred
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Demonstrated ability to remain unbiased in a diverse working environment
• Effective negotiation skills and stakeholder management skills
• Effective report writing skills
• Highly analytical

In this role, you’re expected to:

• Review and approve the Business Monitoring Quarterly summary and serve as lead reviewer for all reviews
• Collaborate with teams across the business and determine impact on overall control environment and audit approach
• Manage audit activities for a component of a product line, function, or legal entity at the regional or country level
• Leverage a comprehensive expertise to manage a team
• Advise the business on change initiatives, while advancing integrated auditing concepts and technology adoption
• Recommend interventions to issues, propose solutions for risk and control problems, partner with Directors and Managing Directors to develop approaches for broader corporate issues
• Apply in-depth understanding of Internal Audit standards, policies and regulations to a specific product or function area Qualifications
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Position Overview

At Third Bridge, our Compliance framework is an integral part of our business; as such we are looking to hire an Audit Associate to join our newly established Third Bridge Connections Audit team in Mumbai. The main purpose of this role is to provide an internal audit of the compliance framework across all our international offices.

Responsibilities

• Perform reviews of internal audits focusing on compliance policies and procedures to ensure we are compliant with applicable laws, internal compliance procedures and pre-agreed client specific processes.
• Prepare draft Compliance Audit Reports in liaison with Senior Analyst and Analyst.
• Identify gaps, review responses and recommend improvements to business processes so that a strict compliance standard is maintained. 
• Provide written and oral feedback on findings and ensure concerns are drawn to the attention of Compliance Audit senior management and Business Team in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest compliance requirements and any relevant legislative changes.
• Work closely with our IT team to gather or explore internal data as required. 
• Undertake risk-based special projects which have arisen through Compliance Audit Reports, input from internal stakeholders based on business objectives, and communication between the business and Compliance Audit senior management.
