We are currently recruiting for an Area Sales Manager for a prestigious client to cover the North of England, ideally based in or around Manchester/Leeds M62 Corridor.
The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining current client accounts.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Representing the company’s products and services, using consumer research as well as deep and comprehensive knowledge of how our solutions meet the needs of customers.
• Achieving monthly, and annual sales quotas by successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
• Generating leads and build relationships by organising daily work schedule to call on existing and potential customers.
• Developing and implementing a territory action plan using comprehensive data analysis and adjust sales techniques according to interactions and results in the field.
• Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs.
• Maintaining working relationships with existing clients to ensure that they receive exceptional service and to identify potential sales opportunities.
• Identifying prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories.
• Possessing in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and handle objections.
• Preparing concise and accurate reports, quotations, and other required documentation for executive-level presentations.
• Organising and Conducting meetings at least 3 day a week
• Achieving sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often including product demos and presentations.
• Coordinating with other sales representatives to ensure that quotas are being met and company standards are being upheld.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Three or more years of sales experience within a similar industry
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organisational skills
• Proficiency with sales management software and CRM
• Strong ability to balance persuasion with professionalism.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
• A good technical understanding of control systems and or electronics, ideally in the automation/ security / access industry. however, all mechanical and electrical backgrounds considered.
• Proven success rate at levels above sales quota.
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
• Proven ability of generating leads, booking meetings in a structured manner
Hours:
• Monday to Thursday, 08.30am – 17.00pm
• Friday, 08.30am-15.00pm
• Remote role
This position is offered subject to satisfactory reference and pre-employment checks and completion of a six-month probationary period, during which time performance will be reviewed.
Salary & Benefits:
• Basic salary - £40,000.00
• £5,000 Bonus Scheme paid quarterly (£1,250) paid on attainment of set targets
• 5% commission on territory sales uplift from previous year (paid quarterly)
• Pension and Health Care schemes
• An entitlement of 28 days holidays per year pro-rata, incl. Bank Holidays. The Holiday year runs from Jan 1st – Dec 31st
• Mobile, laptop and Van are provided. Vans are used for products to be demonstrated during meetings with potential customers
The interview process will involve correspondence with Huntsman Recruitment, followed by a phone conversation with the client, followed by a Zoom interview with the Recruitment Manager, then a Zoom with the client Directors, then finally a face to face interview.
