DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Education Manager will utilise specialist knowledge to support the Workforce and Education Programme to: Lead the planning and delivery of the programme, including the identification of key milestones, deliverables, and measurable benefits, ensuring alignment with the National ACCEND framework where applicable. Takes ownership of the Cancer Academy website user database, enlisting the assistance of the Education Engagement Officer where necessary to produce meaningful information and data. Set-up and organisation Oversee the preparation of agendas, papers, and action logs, holding members accountable for actions and tracking progress against objectives. Foster relationships across Greater Manchester, including with primary, secondary, community, and social care providers, HEIs, and public and patient engagement groups. About the school:

Woodhead Primary is situated on the outskirts of Hamilton to the south. The school serves a catchment area comprising private and council housing and covers Woodhead, Meikle Earnock, Torhead Farm, Avon Grove and part of Fairhill.

Management of partnerships that will involve agreements and resource planning

• Support Directors and PIs on agreements and documentation with partners (in collaboration with Admin Director)
• Work on resource planning and pledging on such agreements
• Work with NUS business office and legal counsels in crafting agreements
• Administer implementation of such agreements including reporting, invoicing, payments and cost recovery (where applicable)

Budget management and payment

• Oversee and regularly update equipment and maintenance budget and yearly procurement schedule to ensure timely utilization of allocated funds in every Financial Year of all external grant funding
• Ensure suppliers comply with terms and conditions and stick to committed delivery timelines. Engage with NUS procurement and legal teams on penalizing suppliers for extended delay in delivery.
• Perform grant virement as and when required

Project management

• Track performance of partnerships
• Write reports
• Joint conferences and symposiums
• Spring board to upscale enterprise and/or scope of alliances

Job Requirements

• PhD degree in Materials Science, Engineering or their equivalent from a reputable university
• Have at least 5 years of working experience in research administration and management
• Experience with grant writing and agreements
• Excellent command of English and communication skills
• Strong people skills

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Lead user testing and validation processes to ensure product functionality aligns with customer expectations and delivers value.
• Explore and integrate emerging fintech technologies, such as blockchain, AI, and machine learning, into product design to enhance capabilities.
• Manage the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and development through post-launch support and enhancements.
• Develop and manage budgets for R&D initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize product development outcomes.
• Ensure products are designed to comply with relevant fintech regulations and standards, including data security and privacy laws.
• Lead and mentor the R&D team, providing guidance and support to drive high-performance outcomes and professional growth.

Requirements:

• Min. of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in the fintech industry or a closely related sector.
• Min. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field
• Strong understanding of fintech, financial products, and emerging technologies, including blockchain, AI, and machine learning.
• Strong project management abilities, including experience with resource allocation, timeline management, and risk assessment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on developing customer-centric solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience in leading, mentoring, and motivating a high-performing team, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Passion for fintech innovation and a strong desire to stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.
