• You will be responsible for the successful completion of science and technology research and development efforts in support of Mine Countermeasures (MCM) and unmanned systems.

• Lead a Branch of Contracting Professionals providing acquisition services to support the Mission of the Corps and/or its stakeholders
• Execute pre-award/post-award contracting functions to include performing market research, acquisition planning, soliciting offers, negotiation of price and other terms, monitoring performance, in compliance with regulations, policy, and or guidance.
• Use business acumen and / or knowledge of acquisition regulations to analyze complex acquisition or business problems to provide timely, accurate directions to mission partners.
• Develop documents, including planning documents, solicitations, negotiation memoranda, awards, performance appraisals, miscellaneous correspondence, etc. with content appropriate for the matter being addressed.

• Determine equipment and facility requirements needed to support logistical operations.
• Prepare and compile reports reflecting funds status.
• Program execution of funds based on quarterly allocations.
• Advise on logistics status and type of logistics support required.
• Conduct staff assistance visits to render assistance and provide base operations support.

• Coordinates and supervises the planning, design and construction of engineering practices such as water management, animal waste management erosion control, flood control, and other conservation practices needing engineering guidance.
• Recommends changes in designs, specifications, and schedule to accommodate conditions at the construction site, availability of materials, or to expedite construction.
• Plans and conducts pre-bid site showing, approves construction schedules, monitors work for compliance with plans and specification and contract requirements.
• Directs and performs site investigations and feasibility studies; field checks and field construction. checks for conservation practice installations.
• Coordinates and conducts necessary quality assurance reviews of planned, designed, and constructed engineering projects in the assigned area or state.
• Serves as or directs the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR).
• Provides technical guidance and training to personnel in the area of all engineering practices and in the use and care of engineering equipment.

• Leads three or more Transportation Assistants in the performance of related duties. Monitors work queues, distributes and balances workload in accordance with established directives.
• Responsible for the coordination on all aspects of shipping/storage of goods. Provides customer technical support center, fields calls, emails, social media and other correspondence; prioritizes workflow task queues for action.
• Interprets guidelines and instructions, determines the approach, and adapts the process, to resolve customer concerns.
• Estimates or validates charges, not limited to handling services, temporary storage, third-party services, mileage rates and accessorial services.
• Conducts statistical samplings and audits to execute program oversight of commercial industry.

Major duties and responsibilities include:

• Studying the local suitability of the weather, degree of moisture in the air, soil and stages of plant growth to decide when and where the work will be accomplished.
• Must determine the quantities of plants, seeds, etc. needed for specific areas.
• Using own judgment, directs and performs tasks such as watering of all lawns, policing grounds, snow and ice removal, use of hand and power tools, mowing of lawns utilizing push type and riding lawn mowers, weed eaters, weeds flower beds, trims shrubs and trees, and mulches shrubs and flower areas.
• Cleaning all engineering storage areas when required.
• Responsible for the maintenance and minor repair of all equipment utilized by grounds maintenance.
• Knowledge of the use of grounds equipment, mowers, weed-eaters, snow blowers, hand tools, tractor, edger, fork-lift and street sweepers, and will be required to do maintenance and preventive maintenance of all grounds equipment.
• Diagnosing and controlling plant diseases, planting and transplanting plants and proper watering practices.
• Determining the proper type, time of season and application of fertilizers and herbicides for contractor application.
• Trimming and pruning plants as needed to maintain growth and appearance.
• Reproducing plants through cutting, grafting, rooting and the layering process.
• Performing maintenance and repair on all sprinkler systems.
• Ensuring that all equipment is maintained, is oiled and in safe operating condition before use, must properly clean and check equipment before storing, and report to supervisor any equipment not in proper or safe operating condition.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Manages USCIS environmental compliance and protection projects and activities.
• Ensures USCIS compliance with environmental laws and regulations issued by Federal, state, and local governments through long-range planning.
• Provides advice and assistance, reviews, and comments on matters relating to the development, maintenance, and execution of environmental plans to implement provisions of federal, state, and local environmental laws.
• Analyzes data, prepares reports of findings, recommends corrective or remedial actions, and prepares and conducts training and briefings.
• Develops environmental implementation policy and guidance for USCIS planning, projects, and activities to determine the effects of agency activities.
• Participates actively on committees and task forces at DHS and USCIS pertinent to environmental compliance and protection.
