About the role
As Financial Controller, you will serve a key business partner and working with the Group CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall financial management of the company. As the FC, you will be responsible for the overall management,financial reporting, cash flow planning and management of the company and its subsidiaries.
As FC, you will assist both the CEO and Group CFO in all corporate management matters including project evaluations,feasibilities,evaluation of loan/financial options,resource management and internal control procedures.
Your role will include responsibility of overseeing and provide leadership of core financial functions such as ensuring strong accounting, reporting,financial analysis,treasury,budget, tax planning,financial planning and advise to both CEO and GCFO of the company and its subsidiaries.
Your job scope will encompass the strategic,technical and operational aspects of finance. In this role, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial statements, accounting advice,tax compliance and treasury functions to enable the Group to fulfill its internal and external reporting obligations.
Additional responsibility will be managing the IT team to provide the IT services for the Group.
The candidate
Ideally we are looking for candidate with a professional qualification in Accounting (ACCA/CIMA) or Bachelor degree. To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified Accountant, a member of MIA and have at least 10 years of experience in a senior accounting role. You should have a significant financial control exposure with a track record of management. You will need to have the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with senior member of the organization across the Group. In this aspect, you will have highly skilled in financial reporting and functional experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting and controls.
As this role will have extensive stakeholder relation excellent communication and writing skills will be highly desirable plus strong people management skills.

The job role
Report directly to the Manager of Planning and Reporting.
Key responsibilities is to assist in management reporting and financial planning, Main task is to provide financial support to the property management team across a portfolio of properties to ensure timely accurate reporting, forecasting and analysis which will contribute to commercial decisions.
As Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for financial reporting and variance analysis, budget planning and control, cashflow administration and reporting to relevant external bodies and authorities.
You will provide support to the finance operations team in the preparation of full set of accounts and monthly accounts closing plus technical support on tax matters
Provide technical support in statutory audit and tax matters.
Responsible for budget and cashflow management.
The person
To be successful in this role, candidate should possess accounting qualification,either a Bachelor degree or ACCA/CIMA graduate with significant experience in the property business industry. We will accord a high regard if you are a member of MIA.
A significant experience of 5-8 years in a similar financial portfolio role will be looked upon very favourably.
Excellent communication skills (English, BM and Chinese/Mandarin)
Strong in MFRS accounting standards.
Good knowledge in accounting system applications; knowledge in Noetic accounting system is an added advantage.

About the hiring company
Our client is an established main contractor specializing in water construction and environmental engineering. They undertake a wide range of water projects across the Klang Valley, covering design of pumping stations, pipelines,service reservoirs and water retaining structures. Currently they are looking for at least an additional Site Supervisor to be assigned in the current project site at Rawang/Kundang and Banting area in Selangor.
Job Roles & duties:
Assist Project Engineer/Manager to coordinate and supervise construction works on projects.
Responsible for the site supervision in relation to all structural/civil works on projects.
Managing subcontractors and suppliers on site performance.
Oversee and monitor progress of on-site works.
Ensure all works are in accordance to the drawing specifications, construction plans.
Supervision of the works, keeping records,measuring, managing correspondence and contractual documentation.
Job Requirements:
Malaysian male age 25-35.
Qualificate: Certificate or Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering;degree qualified engineering graduates,however, is deemed overqualified for the role.
Candidates must have at least 2-3 years of proven experience as a Site Supervision on structural/civil projects within water/wastewater industry or water engineering .
Knowledge of water networks/pipework in building structure and civil works will be highly regarded in the job application.
Be accomplished in interpretating structural/engineering drawings,specifications and project schedules.
Strong supervisory and people management skills.
