We are looking for a South Indian specialist Chef, who is responsible for preparing and cooking delicious and authentic South Indian cuisine. They will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare a variety of South Indian dishes, including dosas, idlis, vadas, curries,
biryanis, and payasem.
• Preparing large quantities of south Indian veg and non veg
dishes(catering/party orders).
• Ensure the proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Follow all food safety regulations.
• Work effectively as part of a team.
• Train and mentor other kitchen staff.
• Create and implement new menu items.
• Order and receive supplies.
• Manage inventory levels.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in South Indian cuisine.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a South Indian kitchen is essential.
• Qualification in Kitchen Production or Diploma/Degree in hotel Management
will be an advantage.
• Comprehensive knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational
health and safety standards will be essential.
• Basic Computer Skills in MS Office, and Recipe Maintenance System is
preferred.
• Strong knowledge of South Indian ingredients and cooking techniques.
• Excellent culinary skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information:
• This is a full-time position, Permanent.
• Hours of work may vary depending on the restaurant.
• Salary: £29,000-£38,500 per year.
• Accommodation provided for single person.
