• Serving as a United States Secret Service subject matter expert in the areas of protection, investigations, and personnel recovery to present training content to foreign partners and USSS employees at formal training courses, seminars, and ad-hoc briefings.

Typical work assignments include:

• Installing, monitoring, maintaining, analyzing, and evaluating the latest known technologies (e.g. state of the art intrusion detection systems and devices) that may potentially be used by hostile entities, both domestic and abroad, either independent or as groups to penetrate the Agency sites or otherwise harm protectees; conducting routine security searches of protective and investigative locations to identify, detect, deter, and stop potential or actual threats involving hazardous materials, items, devices, persons, or unsafe environmental conditions; and advising senior Technical Security Investigators on potential violations and security deficiencies, matters that are not routine.

The work routinely requires long hours with minimal breaks and to be on call 24 hours a day. Must be able to operate in sensitive, real-time situations that may produce physical and emotional stress. Required to work in environments that involve risks of unknown hazards when performing protective searches of remote unsecured areas that may harbor unauthorized persons or environmental hazards, as well as the discomforts associated with working in hard to reach, dirty and hazardous areas of buildings, facilities and outside areas. You will not have control of the environmental conditions or schedule of operations; and will be required to be flexible to ensure mission completion. 1. Collecting, maintaining and analyzing spatial and non-spatial data utilizing GIS software to develop maps and other visual products.
2. Participating in the planning and the development of briefings on geospatial plans as they relate to integrated tactical coverage for National Special Security Events.
3. Leveraging programs such as ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS portal, ERSI City Engine to collect, edit, manipulate and generate interim and final digital data and GIS products such as Grid Reference Guides.
4. Coordinating and liaising with other Secret Service divisions and federal, state and local agencies to obtain data/information and tactical coverage.

As the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), you will oversee the major functions, services, and operational programs supported by and aligned under the Office of Enterprise Readiness (ERO). The Office is comprised of the Administrative Operations Division which drives, supports, and promotes various administrative functions and programs of the Secret Service to include administrative operations, vehicle lease management, personal property management, real property management, as well as procurement policy and management. As the Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), you will oversee, manage, and develop policies and procedures involving the procurement of supplies, construction, and services required to manage the overall operational efficiency within the Secret Service. As the agency authority on procurement and contracting matters, you will be responsible for the acquisition of all goods and services for the protective, investigative, and administrative mission of the Secret Service.

As a key executive advisor, you will inform the Chief Management Officer and the Chief Operating Officer on the interpretation of contracting laws, principles, and regulations to generate new procurement concepts or make recommendations regarding procurement matters impacting the Secret Service.

• Acquires commercial items, classified/sensitive intelligence technology, protective countermeasures, major nationwide telecommunication network systems, complex and diversified information technology systems and services, major system acquisitions for highly sensitive investigation and protection equipment, and state-of-the-art electronic and security systems.
