- Plan, direct, coordinate, and manage the various contracting functions.
- Review new or changed policies, laws, and regulations affecting work of the branch and develops new or changed internal policies and procedures.
- Develop plans and procedures on matters having broad implications and presents as recommendations to the Division Chief.
- Develop and recommend budget and resource plans to accomplish the work of the branch to include immediate and known or anticipated long-range projects.
- Analyze requirements, recommends necessary revisions to requirements, determines method of procurement, and develops plan of action to include milestones, acquisition strategy plan and type of contract.
- Development of staffing and issue of all acquisition documentation, which allow for the execution of legal binding contracts.
- Monitor work of the contractor as well as act as contract advisor for customers and branch staff.
- Manage, train, and supervise the work of the branch.
