We are recruiting for a role within our recently established Thales Business Support Services (TBSS) based in Lisbon. The opportunity for a R2R Team Member is as a result of continued growth for TBSS with more forecasted. This role will provide support to the Record-to-Report Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader, to deliver against their Service obligations to Thales companies whilst seeking to improve efficiencies of process and accuracy of delivery.
TBSS acts as a shared service centre for a number of Thales countries for various key tasks associated to finance, reconciliation, procurement and supply chain. This position offers an individual the opportunity to develop and enhance their existing skills while learning new skills within a shared services environment.
Principal Relationships:
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
Collaborate with clients to obtain the required supporting documents and data for reconciliations and financial reports.
Conduct analysis of financial data from various sources such as Balance Sheet, Statements, ledgers, and accounts.
Create reports, journals, schedules, and supporting documentation based on the analysis.
Generate routine and adhoc reports using statistical and financial information to ensure accurate and timely information for management.
Assist in the month-end closing process for General Ledger tasks and deliverables.

Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Management or related field (essential)
At least 1 year experience in general Accounting (essential)
Advanced English (mandatory)
Good team player – flexible and adaptable to multi-tasks.
Positive attitude and customer focus
Ability to work on own initiative
Good communication skills both verbal and written
Attentive to detail and deadlines.
Able to work in a multicultural work environment
Passion and willingness to learn and understand new software/accounting systems.
Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
Good knowledge of accounting processes
Experience processing in Oracle is valued
