We are looking for a Specialty doctor [substantive] who will work with the national neuropsychiatry service at St George’s Hospital. You will work alongside consultant colleagues and an MDT. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and a growing service.

You will join neuropsychiatry service based at St George’s hospital which is closely allied to the Atkinson Morley Regional Neurosciences Centre. It is an outpatient service which covers over 3-million population and receives referrals from neurologists, psychiatrists or from GPs. A wide range of neuropsychiatric conditions are assessed and managed within the service including neuropsychiatric co-morbidities associated with various neurological conditions, functional neurological disorders and other organic psychiatric conditions. In addition, the service provides assessment and advice to patients in various neurosciences wards at Atkinson Morley Wing, St George’s Hospital.

In order to be eligible to apply, candidates must clearly demonstrate on their application form that they have completed their FY1 and FY2 Foundation training (or equivalent). In addition, candidates' must have 2 years experience in Psychiatry i.e. a minimum of 4 years clinical experience as a doctor.





The post is based at St George’s Hospital. The post holder will have expertise in diagnosing and treating mental health problems associated with various neurological conditions, functional neurological disorder and other organic psychiatric conditions. The post holder will be responsible for providing general neuropsychiatry outpatient clinics and doing assessments on various neurosciences wards.

The post holder will work closely with the existing neuropsychiatry consultants and the lead Consultant will provide clinical supervision and share responsibility for general neuropsychiatry outpatients. The post holder will liaise with a multidisciplinary team within neuropsychiatry and at the neurosciences centre.



The post holder, in conjunction with other members of the multidisciplinary team, will be responsible for assessing and developing treatment plans for neuropsychiatric problems in the outpatient setting. The post holder will also provide consultation and commit to supervision of other team members as required and cross cover as appropriate within Neuropsychiatry Service.

The Adult Eating Disorders Service of South West London & St George’s NHS Trust is seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Band 6 specialist nurse practitioner to join the multi-Disciplinary team (MDT) within the out-patient Local Service.

You will take clinical responsibility for the clients allocated to you under the supervision of the Team Leader. You will deliver and provide nursing evidence-based treatment, that of Clinical Management and Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM) which you will be trained in. You will be expected to provide physical health monitoring where required and keep up to date with all the required mandatory and statutory training.

The role requires the post-holder to take supervised clinical responsibility for a caseload of clients suffering from eating disorders and to provide specialist clinical nursing care to clients under the supervision of the Team Leader. This will include conducting new patient assessments into the service, acting as named nurse for clients under CPA, being instrumental in involving clients in planning and evaluating their treatment.

The post holder will liaise with other services or professionals as necessary, co-ordinating the effective transfer of in-patients to the community team, and undertake group work as appropriate. The post holder will be expected to maintain excellent documentation/record keeping and correspondence, and work as part of the MDT team to achieve the highest possible care for the client group. Liaising with clients’ families and carers as appropriate and to carefully plan discharges and aftercare is also essential.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic OT/CPN/Care Coordinator to continue the excellent work in our well established team based in Elizabeth Newton Building Springfield Hospital in Tooting , London.

Wandsworth Intervention in Psychosis Service offers intensive support to clients who have experienced a first episode of Psychosis and are between the ages of 18-65 years. Evidence indicates that interventions at this crucial time can have a beneficial impact to the client and family, in many aspects of their lives. Using NICE recommended interventions including CBT approaches, family work and intensive support with an outreach ethos, the service offers a positive and recovery focused approach.

The successful candidate will require past experience of working as a care co-ordinator in the community and have robust skills in all aspects of this role.

This post is to work autonomously with service users and their families, holding a caseload for approximately 18-20 clients (pro rata). The Care co-ordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, recording and reviewing a comprehensive package of care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary Team. Kingston Crisis Resolution & Home Treatment Team (KCR&HTT) is a multidisciplinary, community based mental health team that aims to provide a safe and effective home based assessment and treatment service as an alternative to in-patient admission, and for early discharge from the ward in the least disruptive and restrictive environment. It works in conjunction with, and is integrated with, other local service elements. The workload is team-based and team members do not carry a specific caseload.

The Multidisciplinary team is made up of Nurses (RMN), Recovery Support Workers (RSW), Occupational Therapist (OT), Team Administrator, Peer Support Worker (PSW), Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP), Line Manager, Consultant Psychiatrist, Trainee Doctors and Nursing Students.

The Team is available to provide care and intervention from 08:30 to 22:30, 365 days of the year for people who are experiencing a mental health crisis of a nature or degree that would require admission in the absence of the CR&HTT.

Strategic Management of CPD Funding and Resources

This post is being offered at the equivalent of Core Trainee level, and the appointment would be at a grade based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant. The post will be available until 31-Mar-2025.

Successful applicants will work at Jubilee Health centre, as part of an MDT. The clinical supervisor will be the team consultant. The team also has a second doctor (Speciality Dr).

However, the post is suitable for doctors at several stages of their career including Post Foundation Year 2, doctors seeking attainment of specific expertise in an FY3 year, or an additional clinical post while they obtain MRCPsych qualifications.

The posts will also suit doctors seeking to enhance their portfolio to gain entry to the training grades and doctors already in non-training Grade positions e.g. SAS doctors or Trust Fellows who are seeking a formal educational structure to their posts.

Training, educational opportunities and appraisal will be available to successful candidates, including attendance at the weekly academic programme.

2. To formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a client’s mental health problems, based upon an appropriate conceptual framework of the client’s problems, and employing methods of proven efficacy, across the full range of care settings.

To be responsible for implementing a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups, within and across teams employed individually and in synthesis, adjusting and refining psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models and maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses.

This role is part of a new and exciting service providing forensic community service to a specialist group who require expert interventions. The FIND service works with adults with a diagnosis of a learning disability (LD) and/or Autism (ASD) who also experience additional mental illness, co-morbid neurodevelopmental conditions, or behaviours which challenge and who have had contact with forensic services.

To successful candidate will work within the Forensic Directorate in providing support to individuals with learning disabilities leaving secure mental health services across the south london partnership - the core job role is the management of a defined caseload of patients. As a care co-ordinator, you will work collaboratively with other agencies, including police, MOJ, probation, housing, and residential providers (to name but a few), to ensure that service delivery is consistently of the highest standard, providing for safe and effective care and team support.

1. To work as part of the Forensic Community Intellectual and Neurodevelopmental Disability Team with a specific focus on providing a consultation to patients referred to the Service.

2. To have direct management responsibilities (profession specific) of identified registered and non-registered staff within the Service.

3. To be involved in the planning and set up of the Community Forensic LD/ASD Service including the formulation of local policy and procedures as well as being able to provide ongoing strategic input to the development and running of the project.

4. To have an enhanced understanding of the needs that women who are diagnosed with Learning Disabilities have when discharged from forensic services. The post holder must be experienced in the complexities that this client group brings, especially in a community setting.

5. The post holder will provide a highly specialist service to an agreed caseload of service users and their carers, which will include care co-ordination and social supervision.

6. To maintain a clear understanding of the patients who are placed in secure and specialist services throughout the SLP partnership by acting as a point of contact to attend CPA’s, assertively manage discharge pathways and reduce risk of delayed discharge.

7. To monitor and review patients who are in conditions of medium to low security within the SLP as well as out of area. The post holder will be expected to ensure timely and personalised pathways in the least restrictive care/support settings, in line with the person’s recovery goals whilst building on their strengths.

8. The post holder must be able to demonstrate their ability to carry out comprehensive health and social care needs assessments, liaising closely with other health providers, placement providers and other key stakeholders.

9. To support and develop step down pathways, with personalised packages of care which support and build on people’s strengths and secure timely discharges.

10. To work with the Community Care Coordinators to facilitate transfer from out of borough service provision, liaising with local health care and commissioning teams, negotiating between different directorates.

11. The post holder must be a dedicated, organised individual, experienced in clinical areas with previous experience of working in housing management desirable. They must be able to communicate well with a range of people utilising a collaborative approach, and with a strong interest in delivering more personalised outcomes for people with highly complex needs.
