This role will take ownership of all fire and emergency service delivery related tasks and issues across the administrative property portfolio, including liaison with suppliers and landlords. It is responsible for developing consistent standards and approaches for fire and emergency management across owned and leased sites. The role provides subject matter and technical expert advice, support and coordination in the management of fire and emergency services. Key Responsibilities
Provide coordination and management of scheduled and ad-hoc fire and emergency services, ensuring works are completed on time, within scope and on budget
Build strong delivery relationships and work closely with outsourced service providers, in order to manage the state-wide day-to-day delivery of: Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS) program, provision of First Aid Warden services and training, evacuation services, coordination of Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans (PEEPs)
Conduct regular site inspections to assess the asset condition, identify repairs, safety hazards and risks, support HSEQ aurdits, quality assess completed works, identify and scope future operational project requirements
Provide technical subject matter advice, guidance and support to local teams for fire and emergency planning
Schedule, support, monitor and review the conduct of fire and emergency exercise/drills across state-wide sites, working with key stakeholders and service providers to identify issues and facilitate decision making
Key Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Building Operations, Facilities Management and/or related fire and emergency services trades.
Demonstrated experience in delivering fire and emergency services across large and complex Commercial and/or Industrial property portfolios.
Demonstrated knowledge of statutory legislation and obligations imposing or affecting operations and building services.
Sound knowledge of the Building Code of Australia (BCA) for essential services and safety, and knowledge of emergency procedures for low and high-rise buildings.
