Job Role: Religious Worker – Keyboardist
Reporting To: The Music Director

RESPONSIBILITIES
:
The CLASS UK Choirs provide regular songs/music supports, fun and fulfilment to support the church and the local community members especially during festive periods in the Greater London.

The Choir Leader will lead choir rehearsals, providing musical training and guidance to people of all ability levels. The choir leader’s role is to run fun, fulfilling,
and supportive one hour choir sessions for the CLASS UK choristers using the CLASS UK musical resources provided. Also opportunities to conduct the choristers in a performance environment and occasional facilitation of corporate sessions.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational
• Run CLASS UK Voices sessions ensuring that the choir learns the chosen repertoire at a
suitable pace and works together as a cohesive group.
• Ensure that each choir maintains the ethos of the CLASS UK, by creating and
maintaining an enjoyable and supportive environment during choir rehearsals.
• Learn all repertoire used for each different sessions and teach it in an accessible
way.
• Communicate any relevant issues regarding the running of the choir back to the
Co-ordinator as soon as possible after each session.
• Working with the Co-ordinator, proactively seek potential performance opportunities
for the choir.
• Support choir volunteers as necessary during the sessions
Communications and Relationship Building
• Create a friendly, supportive relationship with the choristers and remain alert to potential
needs or distress amongst members.
• Empower the choristers to organise social events for themselves to encourage inclusivity
and foster friendships.
• Work with the Co-ordinator to take a proactive approach to make sure that choir is
inclusive for everyone.
• Attend training sessions where possible.
• Act as an ambassador of CLASS UK to support and improve awareness of
the Charity’s activities.

Qualifications
The candidate must be a Christian with Pentecostal background and
Must be proficient in playing the keyboard/piano musical instrument relevant to the African and Pentecostal Christian style of music.
Ability to work on initiative, self-manage as well as work within a team.
High energy and a positive attitude.
Strong motivation and empathy towards the aims and objectives of CLASS UK
Good communicational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate in a Nigerian Language is desirable.

Duration of employment: 1-2 year fixed term contract. Full time (30h/w) over 5 days which includes evenings and weekends.

 To regularly engage in prayer and fasting as required from time to time with the senior pastor and other ministers.

Job Specification for the Post of Gospel Crusade/Outreach Minister

Hours of work: 20 per week

Reports to: Minister-in-Charge/Lead Pastor
Direct reports: The Outreach Worker will work with a team of volunteers, Church Members and the Minister-in-Charge/Lead Pastor in order to ensure that systems are established and maintained, and tasks are accomplished and/or effectively delegated.

CLASS Church is an evangelical Church in South East/Greater London that is seeking to grow by engaging people within the city and seeing them come to faith. Therefore, we are looking at taking on a part-time Church Minister to help create links with those outside of the Church, mobilize volunteers, put together evangelistic events and help keep the Church focused on mission which we’d like to see become full-time in the future..
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Characteristics:

To be successful in this role, you will fulfill the biblical qualifications for eldership (Acts 20:28-31, 1 Tim 3:2-7, Titus 1:6-8, 1 Peter 5:1-4). Specifically, you will:
 Have a vibrant spiritual life which would include a focus on study, leadership development, prayer and a love for the local Church.
 Support the vision and mission of CLASS Church in South East London/Greater London
 Have a passion for Church health and Church growth: through seeing people come to faith, and being discipled and mobilized.
 Be able to lead yourself and a team.
 Be a good communicator (one-to-one and within the context of preaching) and possess good interpersonal skills
 Be a good example of building non-church relationships
 Have the ability to plan and organise events.
Overview of Job Requirements:
Under the direction of the Minister-in-Charge/Lead Pastor, the role will require you to:
 Oversee the ministry team areas of the Church to ensure a clear and healthy mission focus.
 Encourage and develop church members to be personal witnesses of their faith in Jesus.
 Become a Trustee of the Church to give input on evangelism and outreach.
 Serve on the Missions Team of the church.
 Preach in the absence of the Lead Pastor or when required by the church.
 Assist the Lead Pastor in the planning and organising of church outreach and other community events.
 Keep up to date on evangelistic and witnessing resources, materials and methods: cooperating with them and other FM personnel, developments and interests.
 Oversee the annual estimated budget for evangelistic and outreach needs.
 Perform others duties as assigned by the Minister-in-Charge/Pastor.
