• You will be responsible for carrying out the branch mission as the principal contracting advisor in the Contracting Management Directorate for the review, analysis and recommended disposition for complex contracting documents.
• You will be proficient in cost and pricing techniques, source selection procedures, and has a firm understanding of the various types of pricing mechanics used.

The Procurement Associate is responsible for the timely and cost-effective procurement of local materials, supplies, or services for the plant operations. He/she is also responsible for looking for reliable vendors with good after-sales service to assure economical costs to the company.

Master Data Administration
The responsibilities and accountabilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
● Execute, control and monitor the master data processes (for example: the creation, change, consolidation, and distribution of master data)
● Determines whether or not a newly requested master data object already exists in the central system
● Assemble master data input information from key stakeholders (Operations, Sales & Finance) and other master data admin to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and alignment of the data to be created or changed
● Follow and maintain naming convention guidelines where applicable

Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order Processing
1. Determines the materials, supplies, or services needed for operation through daily review of approved Purchase Requisitions.
2. Coordinates with the internal customers for the specifications of the materials, supplies, or services particularly those that are highly technical and complex.
3. Prepares and processes all approved purchase requisitions of materials, supplies, or
services by conducting bidding procedures or canvassing with different vendors.
4. Negotiates for the best possible price on all purchases.
5. Prepares purchase orders based on approved purchase recommendation summary and ensures the accuracy of all entries in a timely manner.
6. Reviews and provides guidance in the preparation of contracts, agreements, and
amendments.
7. Keeps internal customers informed on updates of schedule changes and/or status of their purchase requisitions.

Purchase Order Delivery
8. Coordinates the processing of purchased materials, supplies, or services (e.g. ordering,
delivery, checking, receiving, and conducting follow-up), ensuring that materials and supplies received or and services rendered are as ordered - right price with right quality and quantity delivered at the right place within the time specified by the requisitioner.
9. Identifies corrective action remedies for defective or unacceptable materials, supplies, or services and coordinates with the vendor regarding rejects, returns, or repairs.

Payment Facilitation
10. Ensures timely payment to suppliers by mediating in billing reconciliations between
vendors and Accounting for settlement of invoice discrepancies for actual materials, supplies, or services ordered and delivered.

Supplier Management
11. Secures renewal and completion of supplier Accreditation requirements on a yearly basis for items being handled.
12. Assess the accredited vendor competence under the annual Vendor Performance

Evaluation Rating wherein compliance with purchase order agreements is being monitored
and reviewed.
13. Updates filing database for Accreditation and Vendor Performance Evaluation Rating and provide feedback to suppliers.

14. Manages existing supplier relationships to ensure continuity of delivery of materials,
supplies, or services that meets performance standards of the company while seeking new ones.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Indirect Global Procurement & Supply Management, the Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for Category Strategy, Strategic Sourcing, Critical Supplier Management and Stakeholder Management for assigned categories including Contingent Workforce and Business Services. The candidate will develop long-term strategies aligned with key business stakeholders.  The individual will also be accountable for managing and enhancing existing high-profile managed services programs, in liaison with the designated MSP partners.

The candidate must demonstrate highly effective collaboration internally and externally, have a passionate focus on success, commitment to continuous improvement and a relentless drive to deliver results. The successful candidate must exhibit strong analytical and communication skills, a proven ability to build relationships with senior level stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations include: 

• Provide strategic direction, leadership and support related to category management & strategic sourcing to achieve corporate business objectives.

• Development, presentation, and maintenance of relevant, subcategory strategies.

• Translation of subcategory plans into a rolling 12-month pipeline of strategic sourcing projects to be maintained and prioritized in DevOps, the Indirect Procurement project tracking tool.

• Execution of sourcing projects in compliance with established strategic sourcing framework.

• Performance of business reviews with strategic suppliers based on an established cadence.

• Development, maintenance, and expansion of strategic relationships and alliances with key stakeholders.

• Promotion of GPSM value proposition through the identification of collaborative opportunities across various business units.

• Contract negotiations with new and/or existing suppliers, in liaison with legal and the relevant stakeholders, to accomplish lowest total cost of ownership (TCO), savings objectives and balanced risk management.

• Identification of and participation in process development and improvement initiatives focused on adoption of agile, pragmatic and fast-track principles.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager is also expected to be an effective change agent, working with senior leadership within the Global Procurement & Supply Management organization, and the business to drive sustainable changes to how the organization sources business services. In this role, the individual will regularly interact with key business leaders to balance cost, risk and speed to ensure that the business is able to meet its objectives. The skills to influence and drive change, combined with the drive to deliver results as per the goals set, will enable the Strategic Sourcing Manager to support the rapid evolution of CAE business.

Desired profile of the successful candidate:

• University degree, ideally in Procurement, Business, Finance, or Engineering and/or recognized industry accreditation (ISM CPSM, CIPS, SCMP, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery:

• Supports transitions and knowledge transfer

Procurement

• Process Purchase requisitions/Shopping Cart and approve orders for Materials and Services in related purchasing systems. (JDE, Basware, SAP)
• Shopping cart compliance and accuracy check, Adhere to Sourcing guidelines & various sub-processes as laid down for processing Purchase Requisitions/Shopping Cart.
• Review Purchase requisitions/Shopping Cart for Input data accuracy, Payment terms and supporting documents like Quotations, Pricing List, Contracts, Bidding Sheet, Approvals based on threshold and type of orders.
• Send PO copy to Vendor and obtain PO Confirmations, communicate the same to requestors.
• Process any PO amendment requests and in turn obtain revised PO confirmations from vendor.
• Liaise between Requestors and Vendor for required purchasing process and provide helpdesk support – Missing PO, Vendor info, Invoice/GR issues and Contracts.
• Maintain manual PO log data and provide reporting support as required by the business.
• Process Vendor management related requests, includes creating and updating vendor information in relevant systems.
• Support Requestors / End users as the First Point of Contact for resolution of all Process Queries / Issues.
• Responsible for TAT and Delivery of key metrics, resolve process issues, determine root cause analysis for specific issues.
• Create Reports and Data analysis as per business requirements.
