We are looking for the right person to lead in Creative Media. They will be enthusiastic and confident in areas such as photography and filmmaking, have a relevant qualification and can demonstrate that they have a track record in using these technologies. We have been consistently judged as 'Good' by Ofsted. Ofsted recognises that we are 'ambitious for pupils' and 'aspirational in our outlook'. Pupils have deafness as a primary need, some with additional Special Educational Needs, and we provide a Bilingual Deaf Education where BSL and English are used. Experience working with children with a range of additional needs will be an advantage.Support will involve mediating and supporting language in both BSL and oral English. Staff will also support children to achieve their learning objectives through learning support, reinforcing expectations and vocabularies, and clarifying tasks.The applicant should have:High expectationsThe ability to work flexibly and to use own initiativeExperience of working within an educational environment with Deaf studentsGood spoken English skillsBe able to develop and maintain records and liaise between teachersExcellent organisational skillsA minimum of BSL Level 3 or equivalent essential
