An exciting opportunity for a Full-Time post within the NHP Programme Office Directorate has arisen, working in the Business Case and Benefits team. This small, but beautifully formed team, leads on the programme-wide development of strategy in the business case and benefits spaces. The role will involve Working closely with the Senior Business Case and Benefits Manager to: 1) Ensure Programme and Scheme-level business cases incorporate best practice, are pragmatic and achievable and clearly articulate a compelling case for all capital investments across the Programme. 2) Support the development, management, and ultimate oversight of a benefits management function, working with Directorates and Advisors alike to fulfil the benefits needs of the organisation. The role will require liaison with numerous stakeholders, both within and outside the NHP.

The purpose of the role is to:

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
The postholder will be required to:
· Be an integral part of the team that oversees NHP Business Case Management & Organisation.
· Play an integral role in development and management of NHP 5 Case Model templates.
· Act as a business case point of contact in specialist business case working groups, e.g. Enabling and Land groups.
· Support Progressive Development by ensuring appropriate business case and benefits SME input.
· Lead the IPA business case review process by facilitating timely IPA reviews, and acting on report recommendations.
· Facilitate the development of in-house 5 Case Model and Short Form Business Cases in conjunction with the Senior Business Case and Benefits Manager as required.
· Liaise with Delivery Directorate colleagues to ensure corporate and external visibility of the pipeline of Scheme business cases.
· Be an integral part of the team that monitors the PBC3 deliverables ensuring timely, robust and pragmatic sign-off and implementation of recommendations.
• Maintain a database of both Programme and Scheme business case approval conditions from both internal and external approvers, ensuring these are monitored and closed off and that Lessons Learned are embedded into the day-to-day business case ways of working
.
• Have a Lead role in the Benefits Management function, working closely with Trusts, PDP and NHP colleagues as appropriate.
· Facilitate efficacious working within the Benefits Management Steering Group.
· Ensure client Trusts are aware of, and utilise, the Benefits Management offering and suite of products.
· Ensure timely reporting and tracking of benefits at both Scheme and Programme levels, ensuing systems are in place for escalation if deliverables are not realised.
· Continually monitor and review the Benefits Management function, ensuing both the Benefits Management Framework, strategy and other deliverables remain appropriate and fit for purpose.
· Working with the business case and benefits teams, ensure appropriate lines of defense are embedded in all systems and processes.
