We are recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer to join Tarmac on a Joint Venture Surfacing Framework contract. You will work on this large infrastructure project to optimise the engineering aspect ensuring this project comes in on time and within budget from an engineering perspective. The Senior Project Engineer will work within the team to deliver the highly strategic ongoing project that is fundamental for operational production and business growth for this JV. You will be the SME to ensure the project surfacing operations run safely, delivers first class customer service to our clients, drives efficiency improvements throughout the scheme. You will manage engineering on the contract from design information through to contract sign off, you will have the ability to problem solve, innovate, and drive engineering performance to the highest levels.

As the Senior Project Engineer must be well-versed in all engineering surfacing construction methodologies and procedures and be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organisational skills. Your responsibilities will include (not exhaustive):

• Have a proven track record of successful engineering Project / Programme delivery, knowledge of pave or surfacing engineering within multi-million-pound projects
• Responsible for delivering the engineering aspect of the project ‘road map’ and able to foresee issues and apply proactive problem solving techniques to overcome challenges, to remain on track to achieve key milestones / dates
• Provide management, guidance and direction to the wider Project Delivery Team and support the General Manager to ensure that all objectives, aims and targets are achieved
• Ensure that the team and business are fully compliant with all H&S, business policies, legal delivery requirements and procedures at all times for both our colleagues and contractors
• Lead, manage and develop the team, optimising engagement, and overall team performance
• Communication is key with colleagues, managers and contractors across the whole project to ensure all tasks are performed promptly, you must have the tact and diplomacy when dealing with tense situations that can arise at any moment during the project's life cycle
• Where contractual issues arise, support the project commercial manager to recover these costs from within the project

About the role:

The Application Security Testing Engineer reports to the Senior Manager and assists with the security testing activities for BMO based applications. What you need to succeed:

• Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in testing web applications, APIs, mobile applications to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
• Hands-on experience with dynamic application security (DAST) tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, etc. Hands-on experience with static source code analysis (SAST) tools.

Working Conditions:

• Hybrid – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. Hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to the designated Duke Energy facility.

• This position is expected to be on-call, as needed, and available to respond to operational needs after hours and on the weekends, as needed.

• This position is expected to have a storm role, which requires working extended hours to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor in Computer Engineering with 5+ years working experience or equivalent MS with 3+ years working experience

• Strong programming skills with Javascript, OOA and OOD skills

• Experience of React, Redux and other Web front end technologies

• Comprehensive technical knowledge in software development methodologies, design and implementation

• Good analytical and design skills at product level

• Good communications and interpersonal skills

• Motivated, self-starter, creative thinker, ability to work alone or as part of a team

• Graphic background and WebGL/WebGPU knowledge is a plus

• Experience with CAD software, scripting or Auto LISP programming would be a big plus

• Translate designs and product requirements into high quality code on the iOS platform 

• Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to elaborate, design, and implement new features 

• Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code

• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs 

• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization 

• Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems

Minimum Requirements:

• B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 

• 3+ years of professional software development experience 

• Working experience in iOS development

• A deep familiarity with Objective-C and Cocoa Touch

• Experience working with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, Core Graphics and Core Text

• Solid understanding of the iOS mobile app development life cycle

• Experience with developing cross-platform software components

• Receives defect reports from other sources (customers, product support, newsgroups, Applications Engineers) and confirms and tracks specific issues for use by development.

• Writes test cases based on real production work, and creates scripts for automation

• Support customers by addressing training issues and identifying defects

• Partner with experienced engineers, absorbing best practices in software development

Minimum Qualifications

• 3~5 years’ experience in Software QA, Design Institute, or relevant industries
