Job Title: Procurement Account Supervisor

Contract: 3 months (potential for extension)

Location: London (Hammer smith)

Hybrid working: Tues & Wed on-site

Role Purpose:

Support local procurement by partnering with management to assess needs, implement sourcing strategies, optimizeoptimize suppliers, and manage relationships at the local and cluster levels.

Key AccountabilitiesAccountabilities:

Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with stakeholders, lead projects to improve spend efficiency, and drive process improvements.

Supplier Strategy: Conduct market and supplier research, offering insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Sourcing & Demand Management: Contribute to regional/global strategies, developing and implementing category action plans.

Negotiation: Lead supplier negotiations, manage key supplier relationships, and ensure quality.

Contract Framework: Work with Legal and Finance to ensure compliance in contract templates and documentation.

Supplier Relationship Management (SRMSRM): Apply SRMSRM for supplier performance assessment on quality, service, and innovation.

Compliance: Ensure adherence to sourcing policies and encourage a Lean approach.

People Management: Oversee direct reports (if applicable), set objectives, and manage performance.

Qualifications:

Education: Degree in Engineering, Business, or Economics; Procurement certification is an asset.

Experience: 5+ years in procurement (2+ years in category management); 2+ years of people management.

Technical Skills: AnalyticalAnalytical, stakeholder management, and familiarity with Workday, CoupaCoupa, and SAP (preferred).

Technical Functional Skills:

Risk Management, KPIKPI UtilizationUtilization, Supplier Analysis, SRMSRM, Data Analysis, Contract Management, RFxRFx Process, P2PP2P, Supply Chain knowledge.

Your new company
This is a multinational banking and financial services institution, with over 450 branches in 19 cities. They offer a wide range of financial services, including corporate banking, investment banking and asset management, ranked amongst the largest 25 banks globally by assets under management. This team has moved from a decentralised to a centralised capacity. Therefore, a strong desire to promote procurement internally is needed for this role.

Your new role
You will be supporting the Procurement Director in establishing the value of procurement, with a direct focus on leading and managing the IT Category. You will be managing £50m worth of spend, as well as direct management of a small team reporting to you. The principal part of this role will be the full E2E procurement process of the IT category. A Market Data Category manager will be reporting into you, so market data exposure would be desirable.

What you'll need to succeed
You will NEED to have predominant exposure to category management of IT - any other profiles won't be considered. You must have an innovative mindset in order to support the development of the entire procurement function. You will need to have great interpersonal and communication skills when engaging stakeholders and suppliers, as well as exposure managing people. You will need to have a good understanding of the market, products and services in the IT category with great stakeholder engagement to help centralise procurement.

Job Title: Procurement & Contracts OfficerLocation: Central London
Job type: 12-month temporary contract
Hybrid working: 2 days remote, 3 days work from the London Office

• To undertake procurement projects in one or more key categories in line with the Local Authorities' strategic and tactical management arrangements for procurement.
• To undertake data and market analysis for category spend in order to recommend procurement strategy opportunities in line with Corporation Standing Orders, procurement regulations, and public procurement law
• To support the delivery of the recommended category strategy for aligned categories in line with all relevant regulations, legislation, government directives and codes of compliance, to reduce risk of legal challenge to the Corporation, whilst maintaining the balance between high quality of goods and services procured and price, and to develop new strategies in line with market trends, changes in procurement law or guidelines, or corporate priorities.
• To act in a business partner role for a small range of departments, providing guidance and Procurement expertise to officers involved in strategic and tactical procurement exercises.
• To champion and drive measurable responsible procurement benefits across all commercial activity
• To be committed to providing the highest level of customer service, delivering the best value to the Corporation, working with both internal and external customers/suppliers and actively seeking to promote equality of opportunity in relation to the duties of the post.

Candidates need to have the following experience/ qualifications:

• Previous experience within the Public Sector is essential.
• Candidates must hold or be actively working towards a CIPS qualification
• Candidates must have completed training on the Procurement Act
• A generalist background in Procurement is necessary.

This role requires an immediate start, so candidates must be available immediately or have a notice period of no more than 1 week. Please note that the day rate and hybrid working arrangements are non-negotiable.
