This position requires you to apply scientific and technical knowledge to the concepts of patent law. You will be required to assess whether an invention is new and judge whether the invention has a technical and legal basis to be granted a patent in Singapore.

• Analyse patent applications and identify technical concepts relating to an invention;

The Florida Trial Attorney provides legal representation, either personally or by retaining and supervising outside counsel that handles moderately complex litigation involving either us or our insured within established corporate guidelines and the applicable code of professional responsibility. PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Regional Legal Affairs & Compliance Attorney will be located in Abu Dhabi, reporting to the Elliott Turbomachinery Limited Abu Dhabi main office.  This role manages primary daily aspects of legal and compliance matters in Abu Dhabi and the EMA region for the Ebara Elliott Energy (“EEE”) Risk Management Department.  The Regional Legal Affairs & Compliance Attorney will also partner in the strategic analysis and management of EEE legal, and compliance matters worldwide, with the goal of forging pathways toward corporate governance, risk mitigation and commercial resolution.

Position Responsibilities:

• Handles legal work on assigned cases.
• Aggressively pursues files referred to Staff Counsel by the Claims Department.
• Creates and maintains a documented strategy for case handling in each assigned case to include a synopsis of the intangible factors, i.e. the judge, plaintiff attorney, aggravating factors, etc.
• Develops, organizes and maintains document files consisting of pleadings, briefs and memorandums.
• Prepares and submits timely status reports to claims handlers on all significant activities as they occur, but at no greater than 60-day intervals.
• Ensures that all files are properly documented and organized.
• Provides prompt and timely responses to all telephone calls and correspondence.
• Utilizes and/or ensures use of case management software for maintaining notes, diary, calendar, billing, etc., on cases assigned to Staff Counsel and in accordance with established Company operating guidelines, procedures and legal and ethical requirements / guidelines.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience as a trial attorney.
• Handling of insurance defense work is preferred.
• Member of the State Bar, while maintaining all necessary licensing and continuing education requirements.
• Required to travel as need.

Primary Job Scope:

Requirements:

• Candidates should have a good tertiary degree in one of the fields of ICT, computer science/engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, material science, or life sciences.

• An advanced technical qualification (MSc or PhD) and the completion of the Graduate Certificate in Intellectual Property Law, Graduate Diploma in IP and Innovation Management, or a Master of IP and Innovation Management will be advantageous but not required.

Government Contracts and Associate General Counsel Attorney

Key Role:

Propel our forward-thinking and purpose-driven objectives as we advance our clients’ missions. Serve as a government contracts attorney and leverage your experience with federal product sales as part of the broader Sector Operations legal team. Work closely with the Deputy General Counsel for Sector Operations, Sector Counsel for each of the respective business sectors, and leaders across the Government Contracts and Intellectual Property teams to anticipate business needs and develop practical solutions with agility and action. Establish trusted partnerships across the firm and collaborate with fellow members of the Legal, Ethics, and Compliance team to secure and advance the company while navigating the complex, multifaceted, and often novel legal and compliance risks we face today.  Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience with practicing law in a law firm, corporate, or government environment
• Experience with government contracts law, including FAR, DFARS, federal procurement statutes, and regulations
• Experience with collaborating with cross-functional teams and business leaders to develop comprehensive, business-oriented solutions to problems and tailoring subject matter input to achieve business objectives
• Experience with drafting and negotiating a broad range of federal and commercial technology procurements and transactions, including transaction agreements, subcontract agreements, co-development, and collaboration agreements
• Experience with advising on internal investment, product development, intellectual property, and data rights protection to a broad range of stakeholders
• Experience in partnering with cutting edge technology companies to bring comprehensive solutions to client missions
• Ability to translate technical advice into succinct, clear, and direct business solutions
• Ability to execute against clear goals, priorities, and success metrics/KPIs
• Doctorate degree, including active bar admission

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with full product and solution lifecycle support, including investment, prototyping, and go-to-market strategy development across a range of federal acquisition types, including commercial acquisitions
• Experience with advising on regulatory and compliance frameworks for machine learning technology, quantum computing, cloud computing, computing stacks, or enterprise software systems
• Experience with government contracting, including in a professional service firm
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
• Ability to listen actively and ensure that the right questions are being asked and answered

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $153,400.00 to $285,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
