Reporting directly to the Asia Pacific Sales Director, this role is a key part of a world class sales organization and will be responsible for pursuing and developing winning strategies to profitably win LARGE Strategic Capital Projects and grow Emerson’s participation in the global Isolation Valves market across all served industries in Asia Pacific.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated technical knowledge of isolation valves applications O&G, Chemical & Petrochemical, LNG and other served industries. In addition, they will possess extensive experience in working with global EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contractors, Strategic & Consultative Selling, Negotiations, strategic communication, and conflict management working across a range of regional and global collaborators.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
· Developing and managing a strong Project funnel of large strategic Projects with additional focus on complex pursuits across geographies.
· Crafting strategic project pursuit plan for each pursuit and detailed structure of the core team required to successfully win the pursuit.
· Demonstrating proven project pursuit frameworks to develop and improve next steps throughout the sales pursuit lifecycle.
· Leading all internal and external project pursuit resources necessary to win the assigned project.
· Coordinating all available internal resources including world area sales, divisional sales, proposal resources, project execution teams, executive management, and external local business partners.
· Winning at a price premium based on differentiated solution selling, Emerson’s world class product portfolio and customer value creation messaging.
· Building Customer Relationships with defined end users, partners, and engineering contractors (EPCs). Having direct involvement throughout the project pursuit lifecycle including sales pursuit, proposal generation / submittal, and contract negotiation.
· Managing project pursuit costs, reducing cost will be a key responsibility for this position. Identifying and eliminating unnecessary meetings, teleconferences, and travel to contain project expenses.
· Responsible for Executive Reporting to Emerson Global and Regional leadership on key project updates, funnel health, Opportunities and Risks.

For This Role, You Will Need:
· Engineering Degree with minimum 10 years of Project pursuit, sales leadership experience in isolation and control valve products or equivalent. MBA is preferred.
· Technical understanding of valves in severe service applications across industrial & process conditions.
· In depth knowledge of professional selling techniques for large capital projects. Demonstrated ability from previous training and extensive experiences with Strategic Selling Solutions & Programs, Consultative Selling, presentations, negotiations, conflict management, communications planning, and global sales leadership.
· In-depth knowledge of the following industries: Oil & Gas Processing and Treating, Liquefied natural Gas Processes, Gas to Liquids Processes, Basic Refining Processes, Basic Petrochemical Process (continuous and batch), Metal & Mining Operations, Pulp & Paper Processes, Life Sciences Operations, Power Generation and Municipality Operations
· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
