The Role -
Lead change management initiatives, instilling rigor and executional certainty for strategy delivery across all YAA Clusters and functions.
Diagnose business gaps, challenges, and anticipate possible push-backs undermining change and development, creating solutions to address those challenges and push-backs.
Lead engagement with stakeholders across YAA on overcoming barriers to change, addressing fixed mindsets and counterproductive approaches.
Develop suitable business transformation strategies for responding to internal and external drivers of change.
Monitor and assess performance outcomes, identify corrective actions where necessary, and motivate the adoption of changes across the organization to drive performance and productivity improvements.
Build relationship, networks and partner with key teams across the organization, as well as with senior takeholders across Yara (e.g. CEO, CFO, EVP’s ) to identify key transformation levers and secure buy-in and resources for the necessary change initiatives to be implemented.
Drive the M&A agenda for the Region, where applicable, in coordination with Global Corporate Development teams in Oslo.
Formalize and steer the strategic sustainability agenda for YAA.
Stay connected to the topics of agriculture, digital, sustainability and geopolitical trends to advise the EVP and if necessary, devise necessary business and strategic interventions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Ideally around 15 years’ experience in Strategy, Business Development, or Transformation with significant people management experience. Long relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
Backround from top-tier management consultancy is an advantage.
English (fluent witten and verbal) skills are necessary. Additional Asian languages are an advantage.
Higher university degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Economics. Master of Business Administration is a plus.
In-depth understanding of finance, digital, B2B (preferably in agriculture/chemicals industry) and stakeholder management (private and public stakeholders) is necessary.
Change Management and influencing experience in large corporate projects.
Excellent team coaching as well as organizational development skills.
Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills, as well as the ability to think holistically to “see the big picture”
Ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence.
Cross-cultural competence, with the ability to build, manage and motivate teams across different cultural boundaries
Ability to work independently and in teams, connecting with all levels of the organization.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Drive to challenge established practices and processes when relevant/needed.
