We are currently working with schools on a daily basis across the Wirral, including in Wallasey, Birkenhead, Bebington, Bromborough, Eastham, Moreton, Hoylake, Heswall, West Kirby, to provide last minute and advance-booked supply teaching cover.
Your new role
We are looking for flexible and dedicated primary school teachers available for supply teaching cover over the remainder of the summer term. We will require teachers to provide cover in various schools across the Wirral, teaching classes from EYFS to Year 6 appropriate to your experience, including potential PPA cover, intervention and booster-based work. Work available will include daily and short-term cover assignments, with the possibility of assignments developing into longer-term positions into September for teachers wishing to continue, and may be full or part-time, depending on your availability.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs of all pupils and the school's expectations, and may be required to plan and assess work depending on the role.
You will also be expected to follow the school's policies and safeguarding procedures, and maintain a positive and respectful attitude at all times.
What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for Wirral primary supply teaching work you must have:
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
- A valid DBS check (or be willing to apply for one)
- A minimum of 6 months of UK teaching experience in the last 2 years
- A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
- A strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Reliability, dedication and professionalism at all times
