Deliver high level physiotherapy clinical services and clinical leadership primarily within paediatric services at the Townsville University Hospital .  The position is integral to maintaining standards of physiotherapy practice and contributing to the development of paediatric physiotherapy services.  The position also acts as a resource person in paediatric physiotherapy for staff, service managers and health care consumers of Townsville Hospital and Health Service.
The position contributes to a 7-day, extended-hours physiotherapy (Emergency Department) and on-call service.

To apply you will need to have a BSc/MSc in Physiotherapist and be registered with the HCPC or an undergraduate student nearing course completion. It is also open to those returning to practice.

Flexible working is possible. Weekend and evening working may be required as per the demands of the Service.

The Post Graduate Physiotherapist Rotational Scheme offers a broad base of clinical experience. Staff on the Rotation will be expected to work on any of the placements on the scheme.

The duration of the rotations are 6 months and currently covers the following areas: -
• Community Rehabilitation – Various locations
• Willow Unit - New state-of-the-art therapy led centre
• Caroline House - Level 1 neurological rehabilitation unit providing specialist care and rehabilitation for patients with complex neurological injuries

• Urgent Community Response Teams
• General In-Patient Rehabilitation

As the senior physiotherapist/Occupational therapist for the CIS Home first team, you will be expected to be a clinician with a broad range of clinical and line management competencies who is able to adapt to a wide variety of circumstances.
