Physio Elements is a well-established, one-stop health and wellness clinic just 10 minutes from Ringwood and Eastlink.
We provide physiotherapy services to all age groups to treat musculoskeletal & sports injuries, in addition to Exercise Therapy classes in our fully established and equipped physio Private Practice and Exercise /Pilates studio. We strive to give our patients a pathway to success ensuring they understand the reasons for their sign and symptoms, their contributing factors, the timeframe to achieve their health goals and have a treatment plan to maximise their success. We are focused on patient outcomes - guiding our patients using evidence-based practice to rehabilitate from their injuries, but also to then work with them to improve through health and prevent future health problems.
We have systems and training in place to support your move into private practice and into our clinic to ensure you enjoy confidence in your physio treatment ability and success for your patients whilst achieving your own professional and personal goals. We will encourage you to do external courses and well as our internal CPD and help you develop your skills in the areas you most enjoy. We also allocate admin time so that you can complete your admin tasks within your workday.
About The role
An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our friendly team.
This full-time role will see you taking over an existing caseload of our rapidly growing client base.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assessment of patients presenting with musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiorespiratory, or chronic pain conditions. Assessment includes a detailed history taking, clinical reasoning and objective physical testing, formulating a diagnosis and prognosis, education of the patient to the diagnosis and prognosis, formulation of a treatment plan and goal setting with the patient and obtaining informed consent
- To formulate and deliver individual and group physiotherapy treatment programs based upon knowledge of the current scientific evidence of the treatment options available
- Apply treatments effectively to assist in the resolution of patients’ symptoms and meet their treatment goals, including reduction of pain and swelling, improving the range of movement, assisting in muscle re-education and strengthening, improving neuromuscular control and balance, improving cardiorespiratory and general health, through the use of evidenced techniques such as manual therapy, education, exercise prescription, taping/bracing, electrotherapy
- Using electrotherapy modalities appropriately and as evidenced as best practice including shockwave therapy, real time ultrasound, ultrasound, heat and ice
- Using effective communication with clients, other internal allied health team professionals, Doctors, Medical Specialists and third party insurers to achieve collaboration, service coordination and best patient outcomes
- To evaluate patients’ response to treatment, reassess and alter treatment programs if required, developing reflective practice and continuing to align treatment to meet patient goals
- Educate patients on their exercises to be completed at home, on behaviour modification such as pacing and mindfulness strategies, strategies for appropriate levels of activity at home, in their sport and in their workplace. Education of the patient’s families where required to aid in the home program or to provide required assistance in an appropriate and safe way. To educate work places and the community to lead healthy lifestyles and to prevent injury and disability
- Maintain relevant documentation associated with patient care eg. patient records, reports, statistics
- Plan and implement community fitness/exercise programs, including hydrotherapy programs, gym programs, keep fit for seniors programs, physiotherapy rehab and pilates classes, strength conditioning and balance classes, falls prevention programs, post-op knee and hip rehabilitation for people both with a health issue and for the prevention of health issues
- Plan and implement health screening programs within the clinical population and general community including functional capacity screening, balance and falls risk assessments, sarcopenia assessments, back movement and EMG assessments

About You
As our newest team member, you will have a passion for driving and achieving excellent outcomes with the ability to work with individual clients and small groups
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Mandatory 2 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Willingness to develop your caseload and marketing to the local community
- Professional indemnity insurance
Desirable:
- AHPRA General (or Limited) Registration - Physiotherapy
- Pilates course completed
- Interest in Dry Needling course
- Advanced taping skills
- Experience in strength and conditioning programs
