Electronics Engineer, Senior
Key Role:
Design, develop, modify and evaluate complicated and difficult hardware devices or systems. Maintain technical responsibility for analyzing the planning and conducting technical process or phases of projects and coordinate the efforts of technical support personnel, drafters, technical writers and electronics technicians as required. Develop and recommend design approaches for new or improved products or processes. Consolidate the results of hardware design elements for assigned projects. Conduct independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material, component or process specifications and requirements. Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services and provide work leadership to junior employees.
Basic Qualifications:
10+ years of experience with Electromagnetic Theory, Radio Frequency (RF) or High Voltage (HV) design
Experience with pulsed power or power electronics, high voltage capacitors and power systems, including transformer design and DC to DC converters
Experience with RF or High-Power Microwave (HPM) testing chambers and diagnostics
Experience with HPM systems designs, including HPM component and system development, such as vacuum electronics, high power transmission lines, solid state switching and high-power antennas
Experience with RF data acquisition and analysis
Knowledge of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) practices and mitigation techniques, including grounding shielding
Ability to support advanced technology development efforts in electronics, electromagnetics and directed energy
Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
