Position Summary

This position will support the DISA GSM-O II Task Number 07 (TN07) Joint Force Headquarters DODIN.  GSM-O II provides network operations and cyber defense support to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in support of the DoD and CoCOMs.  The selected candidate shall provide 24 hours per day x 7 days per week x 365 days per year support JFHQ-DODIN Current Operations Command, Control, and defensive cyber operations (DCO) functions across all - Combatant Commands, Service Cyber Components, Agencies, and Field Activities’ (CC/S/A/FAs) Area of Operations (AOs) in addition to 24/7 coordination with USCYBERCOM and other partner agencies.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collect intelligence on events occurring both internal and external community of interest
• Enhance Situational Awareness (SA), Situational Understanding (SU), and identify possible relationships, trends, and adversary TTPs based on threat intelligence information.
• Provide all-source intelligence support to JFHQ-DODIN operations, such as Named Operations, DODIN Cyber Protection Teams’ (CPT) defensive missions, Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI)s and Command Cyber Operational Readiness Inspection (CCORI)s.
• Conduct open-source intelligence research in support of threat discovery or research.
• Research, analyze, corroborate, and assess vulnerabilities, Information Assurance Vulnerability information as it is related to intelligence reporting.
• Analyze and track vulnerability disclosure program (VDP) incidents as it relates to intelligence reporting.
• Ensures JFHQ-DODIN information provided to foreign entities is compliant with federal statues and restrictions.
• Collect analysis metrics and trending data, identify key trends, and provide situational awareness on these trends.

The Leidos DES (Defense Enclave Services) team is supporting an extensive digital modernization program critical to DISA and Fourth Estate Agencies and is currently seeking a Sr. Storage Engineer located at Ft. Meade, MD.
 
PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Leidos Defense Enclave Services (DES) team, will support services including architecture, engineering, enterprise operations, applications and hardware support, asset management, and related IT services in support of a DISA. These professionals will support information technology discovery, optimization, and transformation into a centralized, operational enterprise. You will provide transformative IT services across all engineering disciplines critical to developing and deploying operational capabilities into an integrated and modernized enterprise environment.
 
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: 
•Must hold an active Secret clearance prior to start and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret. (US Citizenship required)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Manage virtualization high availability/disaster recovery solution design and integration with the backend storage. 
•Analyze backup software performance and monitoring of scheduled backups to ensure success or take remedial action for failures 
•Work with cluster file systems and other technologies to provide redundancy and availability for server farms and applications. 
•Resolve a wide range of storage issues, troubleshooting software and hardware, diagnosis of network issues, and addressing trouble tickets and service tasks across all tiered levels. 
•Assist with virtualization/storage integration with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2012, SQL 2012R2, external storage devices utilizing LUNs, quota distribution and file sharing and installation on various server hardware. 
•Initiate security updates in accordance with Government procedures for directory services. Support evaluating virtualization and storage consolidation. 
•Responsible for completing the day-to-day tasks associated with system administration in the DES Compute Storage Environment. 
•Recommend and implement test sets to provide root cause analysis and resolution for alerts and events and resolve incidents in response to escalated tickets. 
•Work within the DevSecOps methodology to plan and support implementation of new technologies 
•Collaborate with other service teams to resolve enterprise incidents as part of the DES Operations Problem Solving Team.  
•Attend meetings weekly and provide weekly status reports. 

•Mentor junior engineers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

•Must have a DoD IAT Level II certification (Sec+), or higher, prior to start.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise the analyzing of identified malicious network activity to determine weaknesses exploited, exploitation methods, effects on system and information.
• Assess network topology and device configurations identifying critical security concerns and providing security best practice recommendations.
• Review, correlate, and report on high priority endpoint threats and vulnerabilities to identify similar incidents/events, malicious tradecraft, TTPs of malicious activity, and indicators utilized to impact or target specific networks. 
• Supervise the creation of situational awareness products to provide DoD components with detailed information related to vulnerabilities and appropriate mitigation strategies. 
• Develop and Present cyber threat briefings, presentations to ensure situational awareness and current status are conveyed to senior leaders.
• Coordinate with AOs and participate in meetings to ensure accuracy of scoping, requirements documentation, gap identification, remediation, and compliance requirements.
• Develop formalized reporting regarding threat and vulnerability activity impacting mission success. (i.e., situational awareness reports/products; operational directives/orders and coordination messages; and quarterly threat analysis reports and metrics.).
• Develop, and maintain the content of a DoD indicator database to aid in the detection and mitigation of threat activity.
• Define, establish, and manage security risk metrics and track effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications

• BA degree and 12+ years of applicable experience or a MA degree in a related discipline with 15+ years of applicable combined education and experience. Additional related years of experience is accepted in lieu of a degree

• Must hold an active DoD 8570 IAM Level I/II certification.

Leidos is seeking an experienced Senior Network Systems Engineer to provide senior network operations and engineering sustainment support to a mission critical IP messaging and communications transport network in Fort Meade, MD. A successful candidate will develop an understanding of the services offered to external organizations, provide lifecycle systems engineering support to development and operations on the program, and use a combination of technical and functional expertise to recommend solutions to satisfy customer requirements. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Network integration, testing, security engineering, configuration and implementation support.
