The Manager / Senior Manager, Facilities Development will lead a team of Project Managers in the planning and implementation of Facilities Development projects in Kent Ridge Campus and set up project management systems and tools

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop project governance policies and processes to enable consistency in the delivery of infrastructure projects in the cluster.
• Develop technical standards for cluster infra projects and ensure standardisation and alignment with overall hospital’s infrastructure and design in the projects.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Architecture, Building, Engineering, Project Management or equivalent
• At least 6 -12 years of relevant experience with proven track record in public sector or healthcare infrastructure projects
• At least 3 - 5 years of leadership experience

Main Responsibilities

Maintain and monitor complex clients’ systems:

• Responsible for technical support for complex systems and problems, ensuring performance of the asset (client) is maintained throughout the course of the contract
• Collate and evaluate statistical data related to the performance of the assets
• Support Data analytics team with ongoing improvement on automation of data gathering, analysis and reporting, including fault detection and root cause identification

Manage responses to emergency situations:

• Facilitate responses to emergency situations and recovery activities
• Evaluate and provide fast resolution to critical field performance issues
• Visit sites to diagnose BBP operational issues and develop resolution plans for complex cases that cannot be easily resolved
• Review and approve recommended repair works for major equipment and system failures
• Check performance deviations and define root cause for any performance issues and to escalate to either Engineering or Performance team, as needed.

Provide oversight on maintenance work:

• Responsible for the planning of corrective, preventive and predictive maintenance activities to ensure BBP equipment and client systems are fully functional and in optimal operating condition, preserving BBP energy savings
• Optimise maintenance plans and schedules for inspection, testing, repair and predictive maintenance of equipment and systems to minimise downtime and costs
• Provide technical guidance on equipment and systems maintenance
• Endorse resourcing requirements to achieve operational state in accordance with BBP expectations
• Drive internal and subcontractor compliance with the health & safety standards and practices

Support Customer Support/Business Development teams in creating further business opportunities:

• Foster close collaboration with Customer support team to ensure client performance and satisfaction
• Advise customer support team to correct inefficient uses of energy, both technically and procedurally and to support with data justification
• Identify potential upselling opportunities at client site during regular or ad-hoc maintenance

Organise and develop the team:

• Coach and train Central Maintenance engineers
• Drive talent recruitment and development for the department in alignment with organisational strategy

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Controls, Energy or Environmental Engineering.
• Possess people management experience
• 2-5 years’ experience in an Energy or Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage
• Professional Energy/Sustainability related certification a plus
• Qualification in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning and Energy Management will be an added advantage

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated Associate Facilities Manager with a background in biosciences to join the Discovery and Research Platforms team to ensure that our facilities and equipment in Singapore are appropriately maintained and fit-for-purpose.

This will be a permanent role for the right candidate with ample opportunity to grow within the company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide a central portal for reporting facilities issues, plan a course of action and liaise with key vendors to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Provide the point-of-contact for building owners for dissemination of general information and planning of activities impacting the operation of the facility
• Collaborate with various stakeholders for budgeting of maintenance activities and review of servicing agreements to ensure they are fit for purpose
• Coordinate maintenance schedule of lab-specific equipment through liaison with service providers and lab-based equipment owners to enable effective lifecycle management
• Manage the maintenance/certification schedule of common facilities to meet health and safety standards
• Support the company’s Operational Health and Safety approach through regular lab inspection and management of the risk assessment review process
• Prepare reports detailing ongoing activities for updating of key stakeholders

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma with equivalent work experience in a science related discipline
