Responsibilties

HR Associate - Global Mobility

The Talent Acquisition department hires qualified candidates to fill positions which contribute to the overall strategic success of Howard University. Hiring staff “for fit” makes significant contributions to Howard University’s overall mission.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Graduate Fellowship Compliance and Data Management (50%)

o Collects, monitors, and regularly reports on fellows’ program compliance data as well as updating and maintaining Fellow files (offline and online).

o Assists in the completion of quarterly and annual program reports.

o Facilitate travel requests for current Pickering Fellows completing program obligations.

Pickering Graduate Summer Programming (25%)

o Coordinate fellowship summer orientation including travel and housing accommodations for new Pickering Fellows.

o Support Program Manager with overall planning and execution of Pickering Fellow Orientation

o Arranges information sessions, both in-person and virtual.

o Works closely with the communications Coordinator to produce promotional materials.

o Proofreads, edits marketing and recruitment materials, reports, and public-facing assets (website, social media, etc.).

Program Administration (10%)

o Facilitate Pickering team meetings. This includes preparing agendas in advance, launching the zoom, taking notes, and communicating tasks with Pickering Program staff.

o Oversee incoming inquiries to the Pickering Program by way of email and phone.

o Update the Pickering program website and, where appropriate work closely with the communications Coordinator to ensure branding standards are met.

o Supports the selection process of the Graduate Fellowship and Summer Enrichment Program.

• Strong sourcing skills using diverse channels, preferably with experience in LinkedIn Recruiter, Workday Recruitment, and boolean search techniques to identify engage and attract top-tier talents
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Preferably with experience in talent attraction initiatives such as campus and internship recruitment and employer branding
