The award winning One Spa has an exciting opportunity for a Spa Therapist. This contract is full-time covering all seven days of the week.

You will have day to day responsibility for equipment, products, cleanliness and hygiene of the treatment areas and assist with demonstrations/events as required. You will also have daily responsibility of your retail sales, treatments and up selling.

You will also supervise and conduct the safety of users and equipment and receive training to ensure that all relevant legislation pertaining to the Health and Safety at Work Law and Health and Hygiene standards are implemented and monitored.

Responsibilities include:
Working as part of a team of Spa Receptionists to deliver outstanding guest service. Assisting in driving the financial performance of the spa including retail sales, treatment scheduling and up selling. The role also involves taking care of day guests, hotel guests and spa members. You will:

• Ensure a warm friendly welcome to all guests
• Have a complete knowledge of the treatments and services offered, and any promotions that may be on offer at the time
• Co-ordinate guests' consultation records with our therapy team.
• Be responsible for all billing procedures at the reception desk and the correct reconciliation of funds at the close of each shift and at the end of the day's work.
• Complete daily opening procedures and check lists per relevant area daily.

• Recognise the importance of "sales" in every aspect of your role.
• Be responsible for preparing the reception area and desk for the next shift, ensuring all messages have been passed on before leaving and that adequate supplies at all public information material are available.

We are currently recruiting for a Night Manager to join our award winning Front Office team at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa.

Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is one of Scotland's leading 5 star hotels. As the largest 5 star hotel, we also have the biggest banqueting and meeting facilities of any hotel in Edinburgh with a capacity of up to 500 along with our One Square Restaurant and bar.

• Assist with room, One Spa, and One Square restaurant bookings as well as Gift voucher requests and maintain third party extranet platforms.
• Make sure new reservations are set up correctly and cancellations are actioned accordingly
• Maintain the hotel generic email inboxes
• Assist with revenue management tasks such as building rates and packages in Opera PMS
• Ensure all billing instructions are correct and actioned
• Follow Health and Safety procedures; point of contact for emergency situations
• Ensure all internal and external phones calls are responded to and followed up on
• Take In Room Dining orders and liaise with F&B accordingly
• Assist with Concierge requests and ensure public areas are well maintained and looked after
• Run the Night Audit and prepare the End of Day Pack

Requirements:

We are looking for someone who is energetic and self-motivated with a "can do" attitude and who is ready to take the next step on your career path. Ideally you will have at least two years of experience within the Front Office department within a 5 star environment, with supervisory experience preferred.

Our expectations of you will be that you are able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team and have a strong desire to improve on your skills and knowledge as well as:

• High school diploma required, additional hospitality training preferred.
• Extensive Knowledge of Internet/MS Office applications and related IT preferred.

Role Overview

The Assistant F&B Manager will help oversee the efficiency and quality of the F&B operation through their specialist skills and knowledge; ensuring the department provides a culture of excellence to both its guests and staff. This role entails being active on the floor and will encompass touch points in all our F&B outlets, including One Square Bar and Restaurant, Club Lounge, In Room Dining, and Spa Café. Ensuring that departments run smoothly with the optimum staffing levels whilst creating synergy across all outlets, the ideal candidate will be able to multitask between venues. Administrative aspects of the role would include involvement in recruitment, training, payroll management and liaising with external stakeholders.

Managing Core Standards

• Ensuring Core service standards are in alignment with all Marriott International requirements
• Ensuring FOH and BOH cleanliness standards are maintained
• Developing action plans to address shortfalls in standards
• Creating action plans relating to GSS metrics, Brand Standard Audits and Mystery Shop programs
• Ensuring Marriott grooming standards across department are adhered to
• Ensuring that all Health & Safety procedures are adhered to and implemented within the department at all times, including mandatory training, risk assessment and legally required trainings
• Able to deliver brand, service and product knowledge training sessions to push the development of the outlet managers and wider team; helping the team both develop and keep them engaged

Managing Support/Key Relations

• Driving standards within the department's day to day operation

• Assisting in the delivery of excellence during services across all outlets

• Creating and maintaining all required SOP's
• Ensure full liaison with other members of the Hotel teams through daily meetings, as well as running regular shift briefings and departmental meetings
• Monitoring staffing levels and providing solutions to maximise efficiency
• Providing full business F&B leadership cover
• Ability to engage with customers and be the first point of contact for queries and feedback; being able to lead by example with regards to guest management
• To be visible in the operation, recognising and maintaining relationships with regular guests as well as cultivating relationships with new guests

Leadership

• Act as a role model and ambassador for guests, associates and the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa.
• Ensures that regular, on-going communication occurs in all areas of food and beverage (e.g., pre-meal briefings, staff meetings). Help run departmental meetings with the aim of strengthening relationship with the teams and facilitate open lines of communication
• Directly responsible for conducting appraisals of relevant direct reports and oversee appraisal process in the various outlets.
• Fully support the Engagement Survey process and participation where required, offering any assistance in action planning and positively improving team motivation and engagement.

The Duty Engineer is responsible for the delivery of 1st fix maintenance as requested throughout the property, planned preventative maintenance schedules, and the undertaking of designated Health & Safety duties across the hotel and spa. Requirements:
