JOB SCOPE

As part of the church Communications team, the Communications Executive is responsible for the effective communication of the church vision and mission, and the publicity and promotion of its events and activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage social media for PLMC
• Manage PLMC website
• Assist in publicity and promotion of church events and in archiving of church records

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or degree in digital media, mass communication, multimedia or related disciplines
• Minimum two years experience in corporate communications or marketing with hands-on social media management portfolio
• Enjoy working on creative projects
• Meticulous in attention to detail and a good track record in multi-tasking
• Good command of spoken and written English essential. Strong command of Mandarin will be an advantage
• Strong computer skills: in particular, a sound knowledge of Desktop Publishing tools and design software like Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, WordPress etc
• Basic photography skills and knowledge of photographic equipment is an advantage
• Must be able to work on Sundays

JOB SCOPE

Reporting to his/her immediate supervisor, the incumbent will be involved in both counselling and management of clients. As a team leader, he/she will assist in developing the counselling ministry, and work together with a team of volunteers in delivering effective counselling services to our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide professional counselling services to individuals, couples, families and groups, and preferably possess some knowledge to counsel child and youth clients, to improve their well-being
• Evaluate the effectiveness of counselling programmes on clients’ progress in resolving identified problems
• Collaborate and network with Supervisor and other staff members as part of clients’ treatment plans, and recommend and implement areas for improvement
• Prepare and maintain proper documentation of case records
• Develop and conduct training and workshops to enhance the well-being of the community

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Degree in Counselling or equivalent
• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in pastoral care and counselling work
• Dedicated and passionate about advocating the importance of mental health
• A team player who is able to work collaboratively with other ministries
• Proactive self-starter with analytical and creative mind, and ability to work independently
• Possess good organizational, communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills

JOB SCOPE

As part of the Discipleship and Nurture Ministry, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and implementing the various courses and programmes for the congregation. You are to facilitate and lead courses, talks and bible studies for the congregation. You will be involved in identifying and developing curriculum that enables people at different stages of life and different spiritual maturity levels to be biblically grounded and to grow to the full stature of Christ.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate closely with the Discipleship and Nurture Director to implement the yearly plans and programmes of the ministry
• Facilitate courses, such as Baptism and Membership Classes, for congregation
• Co-ordinate with volunteers and external trainers/speakers
• Assist in planning of the yearly programmes and budget

REQUIREMENTS

• Theological diploma/degree from accredited institution/seminary, or related experience
• Genuinely interested in the discipling and equipping of the congregation
• Good organisational, communication (oral and written) and people skills
• Pro-active, responsible, dependable, and meticulous
• Able to work independently, and on Sundays

JOB SCOPE

Reporting to Director of Outreach, the incumbent is responsible for the execution of the church’s Outreach ministry programmes that serve the various communities within the 5-km radius of the church.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the pool of co-workers in terms of recruitment, deployment and scheduling to ensure sustainable execution of the Outreach programmes for the various beneficiary groups served by the church
• Mobilise, train and motivate co-workers to ensure the church’s Outreach ministry and programmes remain vibrant and effective. This includes enlisting the right people to champion different ministry programmes
• Ensure proper coordination of all the ministry programmes
• Review the effectiveness of ministry programmes periodically
• Lead person on staff team attending to requests for ad-hoc financial aid
• Process cases of financial aid referrals from our Outreach arms and partners
• Assist in the review and preparation of an annual budget to support the various Outreach ministries
• Network with other churches and organisations to have greater understanding of community work

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or professional qualification equivalent
• A genuine interest in community issues and people, and a strong passion to work towards making a difference among the various communities
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience in planning, resourcing and executing community outreach programmes
• A team player, with strong communication skills
• Proficiency in event organisation and management

JOB OVERVIEW

Working closely with the Pastor overseeing the “Livingstones” Mandarin Service, the Director provides leadership, and shepherds and nurtures the spiritual growth of the congregation, while ensuring that the ministry work aligns with the overall church direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and oversee the Mandarin ministry and all related activities
• Preach and teach regularly (Sunday services, funerals, and church events)
• Provide spiritual support, counselling, and pastoral care to worshippers
• Guide and work closely with staff and co-workers to plan and execute
• Provide leadership and guidance to all sub-ministries as well as mobilise worshippers to follow church direction
• Identify, equip, mentor, and empower potential leaders as part of leadership development and discipleship training
• Assist in pulpit roster planning
• Do simultaneous translation for Pastors/English-speaking speakers

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor in Theology or equivalent
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience in the areas of pastoral care and/or preaching
• Proven leadership ability within a church or ministry setting
• An effective team leader with excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to minister and connect with people of diverse cultural backgrounds and age groups, including the seniors, families and youths
• Excellent communication skills and effectively bilingual in Chinese and English
• Ability to work independently, matched with good planning and organizational skills
• Willingness to work on weekends and non-traditional schedules

Seeking a dedicated Student Care Teacher to join the Centre!

You will responsible for supervising and engaging these students in various activities, providing academic support through homework spervision and promoting their holistic development.

To provide assistance to primary school students (primary 1 to 6) in their school homework for all subjects, monitor their progress and offer help when needed.

• Fetching children from nearby school
• Ensure of their well-beings in the Centre
• Love working with children and the learning process
• Upkeep of classoom and Centre premises
• Any other ad-hoc duties as delegted by Centre Head
• Some experience in working with children preferred
