Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the operations of our construction company. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of corporate governance, project management, and contract administration within the construction industry. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for leading various aspects of our operations including project management, corporate governance, vendor management, and compliance with ISO certifications.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the CEO/ Director

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, from a recognised university.

ISO

• Assist to control all documents related to ISO 9k and 18k
• Control the new issue and obsolete documents for ISO
• Assist to issue out standard processes and procedures to all concerned departments
• Track and monitor the monthly submissions for the objectives specified in the ISO
• Track and maintain the customer satisfaction records
• Responsible for all official document transmittal to clients regarding respective projects
• Ensure proper archiving and retention of all client communication documents and agreements in the respective file folders on the server
• Ensure ease of traceability of all project related documents in the server

(d) Carry-out any other duties assigned by the Works Train Manager or

The WTSS/GS is to manage safe pedestrian track access and Engineering Consist (EC) or Passenger Vehicle (PV) movements at the project’s Defined Areas (DA) within the station/depot.

(a) Perform duties of a WTSS/GS, at the temporary staging area, depot or mainline environment.

(b) Enforce the rules and regulations as trained in accordance with the Works Train Manual.

(c) Ensure safe movement of EC/PV inside the Defined Areas of mainline station trackside and depot.

(d) Ensure safe access by person-in-charge and work parties in an energised Defined Area.

(e) Local control of all access, person-in-charge, work-parties and consists or trains movement within Defined Area under his charge.

(f) Issue, control and maintain Works Train signage and equipment under his charge.

(g) Assist the Works Train Controller/Control Centres in the shunting of Works Trains inside the Defined Area.

(h) Work with the Works Train Controller, EC/PV and execute the instructions of the Works Train Controller.

(i) Setting up of protection e.g. sector limit boards, red flashing lights, short circuit device and setting and securing of points.

(j) Assist in the on-the-job training of new WTSS attached to his workstation.

(k) Perform any other duties assigned by the Works Train Manager or his representatives related to the Works Train operation.

• Carry out daily and weekly maintenance and safety checks
• Take ownership of the appearance and operation of the machine for each shift that you are operating it
• Complete and Maintain a machine Log for each shift
• Conduct all pre-start safety checks using appropriate daily and weekly check lists.
• Report on any maintenance requirement to the Operations Manager and liaise with Fitter to ensure necessary works completed
• Must have at least 18 months experience on operating excavators and plant.
• Ideally Previous experience in operating RRVs, preferably in Singapore
• Able to perform weekend and shift duties

Job Description

• Coordinate supplier and subcontractors teams, activities and costs as related to the programmes, specification and safety requirements that the works relate to.

Job Description

Accounts Payable Task

• To review all purchase invoices for appropriate documentation and obtain approval from the delegated authorities prior to payment
• To prepare fixed and variable monthly cost forecast payment report two months ahead before all payments are made to ensure sufficient funds in the bank accounts at all times
• To process the three-way P.O. matching invoices by ensuring the purchase order would match with the purchase invoice and the supplier’s delivery note
• To prioritize payment of invoices according to cash discount potential, payment terms and to process online GIRO payments, FAST payments and cheque payments via the OCBC and DBS bank tokens
• Respond to all vendor enquiries
• Reconcile supplier statements if there are any disputes and to correct the discrepancies
• Assist the Finance Manager/ Accounts Manager in the month end closing and the filing of GST on a quarterly basis

• To ensure all payments from customers are updated accurately on Synergix software and to prepare the debtors aging report which can be obtained from Synergix and to be emailed to the Finance Manager by the 13th and 30th of every month
• To prepare projects- based (SMRT, Alstom, LTA) Profit and Loss statement which can be obtained from Synergix software once all entries have been updated and these reports have to be emailed to the Finance Manager by the 13th of every month
