Position: Store Assistant

Responsibilities:

- Load and unloading of items from various holding areas.

- Picking of goods, support delivery and collection activities.

- Assist in warehouse operations.

- Any other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

- Able to operate forklift.

- Physically fit for manual work.

Warehouse Assistant

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for warehousing activities including loading and unloading, sampling of incoming materials, account physical receipt from vendors/suppliers, accurate issuance of materials to Production teams and perform timely outbound deliveries. You will assure and maintain a continuous effective support in the daily warehousing, production and supply chain operation, implicating the support to the production output.

The Position:

• Perform and account for physical receipt of materials from vendors/ suppliers.
• To perform sampling of incoming materials and put away to designated storage.
• Carry out timely and accurate issuance of materials to productions as required.
• To liaise operation between productions and warehouse/ 3PL.
• To liaise with other departments as and when required.
• Prepare and execute timely outbound deliveries.
• Ensure and carry out timely and accurate system inventory transactions.
• Compliance of rules and regulations stated by the organization. (e.g. GMP, HACCP, ISO90001, ISO140001, ISO180001& other Company Policies)
• Perform periodic cycle count/ stock take.
• Maintain good housekeeping and good workplace safety awareness.

The Ideal Candidate:

• At least a GCE N/O Level with minimum 1 year of working experience in relevant industry.
• Possess a valid forklift licence and Class 3 driving licence
• Fresh graduates are welcome too as training will be provided
• Able to lift heavy load up to 25kg and comfortable working in a strong-smelling environment
• Proficient in SAP
• Willing to work on shifts and overtime when required
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• A team player, independent and meticulous.

An assistant in warehouse is also responsible for maintaining the required level of efficiency or safety while handling the movement of goods and system records.

Working Hours: 6 day week, Monday to Saturday, 8am-5pm

• Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods, and comparing packing lists/DO to company invoices to ensure complete shipments have arrived, and reporting irregularities to supervisor

• Sort, organize and store inventory in the proper location
• Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
• Preparing, packing and labelling outgoing shipments according to company SOP
• Ensuring no damaged goods are sent or received
• Handling and checking Halal ingredients and products according to company rules and MUIS regulations
• Conducting daily physical stock check of goods in warehouse, and updating supervisor via report
• Updating product inventory as required
• Maintaining required standards of cleanliness, organisation and housekeeping
• Operate heavy machinery like forklifts to move or store inventory
• Observing workplace safety practices, including wearing safety gear at all times and ensuring workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles
• Prepare documentation and inventory for audits and management reports
• Other related duties that may be agreed mutually from time to time

Job Requirements

• Secondary School Qualification
• 2 Year of relevant work experience / in the related field
• Logistics / Warehouse experience and Warehouse Management System (WMS) knowledge will be an advantage
