WHAT IS EXTRA CARE?
Extra Care accommodation involves semi independent supported living. You will be available to provide emergency response and planned care to residents when required, working as part of a dedicated care team on site, 24/7.

THE ROLE:
Providing all aspects of personal care and support to residents, adopting a reablement approach to maximise independence at all times.
Promoting and supporting the physical, emotional and well being of residents.
Provide a personalised housing related support service.
Supporting residents at meal times or during medication administration, in accordance with their individual needs.
Contribute fully to team working, responding positively to colleagues and undertaking all reasonable work instructions promptly.
Practice safe systems of work across the range of tasks and in particular moving and handling.
Understand personal responsibilities with regard to Health and Safety at Work legislation, particularly in relation to moving and handling of residents and fire safety and evacuation procedures
Take an active interest in your personal and professional development by, contributing to supervision and appraisal meetings, attending team meetings and training
Adhere to all company and local policies/procedures
Develop positive professional relationships with residents, visitors and colleagues

This vacancy is available to those aged 18+ who hold current experience in a health and social care background of at least 6 months. It would be preferential for the staff member to also posses a minimum qualification of the Care Certificate and/or a NVQ /QCF Level 2.
