Job Summary: To aseptically dispense sterile Cytotoxic products and other sterile injectables. To manage the environment and physical monitoring of the Aseptic unit maintaining appropriate records for microbiological cleanliness, pressures, room temperatures and equipment temperatures. To assist in the dispensing of outsourced Parenteral Nutrition products. To ensure that products are prepared in an appropriate, timely and efficient manner. To accurately issue and transfer items used in Technical Services to appropriate cost centres using the Ascribe computer system. To be responsible for performing daily cleaning of the Aseptic Unit. To assist in the monthly cleaning of the Aseptic Unit. To perform in process volume checks, worksheet and label checks, and product assembly checks as required according to standard operating procedures. To supervise rotational staff within the Aseptic Unit, including pre-registration pharmacists and technicians, and assistants. To participate in the training of all staff new to the Aseptic Unit, including pre-reg pharmacists and technicians, and assistants in principles and procedures relating to aseptic dispensing and smooth running of the department. To assist in the day to day running of the Aseptic Unit as required by the section manager, to ensure workload is satisfactorily completed in order of priority. To assist in the updating of Standard Operating Procedures, information documents and instructions relevant to the Aseptic Unit, as requested by the Senior management. To participate in the production of Error Logs, QERs and reports relevant to the department as required by the departments standard operating procedures. To comply with the departmental Good Manufacturing Practice requirements, including dress and Hygiene relating to work in the unit. To work at all times within the Health and Safety Guidelines of the department. Maintenance of stock levels to ensure sufficient drugs and consumables are available for use within the unit. To be responsible for ensuring all laundry is packed and sent for processing. To undertake Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Pharmacy Services skills (QCF) within the required timeframe. To ensure accurate stock rotation and expiry date checks are carried out. To participate in stock takes. Ensure all waste is disposed of appropriately. General Participate in Dispensary weekend and bank holiday rotas as required. To ensure that the cleanliness and tidiness of the section meets specifications laid down by the section manager. To undertake personal continuing professional education and training as necessary to ensure high level of competency in carrying out the tasks required. To maintain safe systems of work at all times. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To be a designated point of contact for clients, professional partners and the wider sexual health team undertaking the role in a welcoming, professional and courteous manner. Providing advice, information and signposting clients who may be anxious or distressed or have difficulties with communication. To register clients on the electronic patient record when required ensuring accuracy and confidentiality To book appointments and follow-ups into an appropriate clinic for patients requiring an appointment in the main sexual health service dealing with information sensitively and professionally Take messages in a polite and professional manner ensuring these are given to appropriate staff in a timely manner Signpost to appropriate alternative services e.g. sexual health clinic/pharmacy Update and maintain the outreach webpage and social media sites ensuring information is timely and up-to-date. As our Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of supporting our customers who have complex Mental Health needs to develop their skills to live more independently in the community. You’ll make a big difference each day as you help our customers achieve their hopes and aspirations. Amazing we know!

Typical day as our Support Worker

• Assisting customers with practical, daily living tasks to develop their independence, helping them to achieve the goals, aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans.
• Working with a with a Mental Health Diagnosis.
• Helping customers with daily living activities such as making meals, shopping, budgeting, maintaining their tenancy and moving onto independent accommodation if they are able.
• Carrying out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews.
• Cuppas, chats and catch ups. There’s no rushing from one customer to the next here! Plenty of time to work together with colleagues too.

You bring

• Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail
• Experience of caring for others, you may have worked in care before or have experience of caring for others such as family members or children
• The ability to work on your own initiative, remain calm under pressure and have a resilient approach
• Recognise every customer is different and you’re able to adopt a flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs
• To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!

Our team

You’ll join Sophie our manager, and our Dispersed and Outreach team, we’re super passionate about what we do! Sophie can often be found planning her next trip around the world or getting stuck into DIY projects. We’re really proud of developing the service to being 1 of only 2 providers within Worcestershire who provide Mental Health Support to customers who live within their own homes. We’re a supportive bunch and like to get together socially on a regular basis.

Job details

• You’ll join the team working on a rota basis covering the service between 8am to 6pm, including weekends. You’ll manage your own diary within this though!
• Although you’ll lone work, we do get together regularly for training and team meetings.
• As it’s a community-based role you’ll often be out and about in various locations such as supporting customers to attend their volunteering placements at local allotments or completing their weekly shop in Tesco. No two days are the same here!
• You’re able to use technology to update support plans, complete online learning and to collaborate with colleagues.
• You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
