As a Retail Loss Prevention Team Leader, you will operate across a network of stores, and utilise your observation skills to help prevent theft of stock. Main Duties

-The Retail Loss prevention Officer will work in collaboration with all members of the security team to achieve a safe and secure shopping environment free from crime and the fear of crime.

-To report directly to the Retail Loss Prevention Team leader.

-Utilising conflict resolution to diffuse difficult situations that may arise within the workplace.

-Reporting to the Security Operations Manager - they must record, report, and escalate all incidents and arrests using the process/system/technology as required throughout their shift.

-They will always be mindful of the legal requirements associated with powers of arrest, detain and welfare responsibilities to ensure the personnel safety of all Mitie/IKEA personnel and members of the public.

-Ensure effective communication to officers and colleagues that create an integrated and coordinated approach to crime prevention and detection.

-Adopting an intuitive approach to store layout taking into consideration store demographic and associated risks.

-To travel to all (London) IKEA locations based on Risk and intelligence gathered by the Crime and Intelligence Team based in Northampton.

Qualifications

-The Retail Loss prevention Officer will need to be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude.

-Previous supervisory skills managing a security team.

-SIA Licence requirements are a Front Line SD Licence and a CCTV Licence

-Strong Customer Service, client focused attitude with the ability to build good working relationships.

-Excellent communication skills are required both written and verbal.

-Adaptable communication style to meet the needs of different people groups.

-Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

-Resilient and tenacious with a can-do approach.

The Enterprise Data Architecture Team has primary responsibility for ensuring the best use of data across the Department, supporting and overseeing the work of data architects across the Ministry of Defence’s complex business landscape. We champion the development of coherent data architecture strategies across the nineteen different Defence organisations to ensure that Defence’s data landscape is more than just the sum of its parts, minimising the time-to-data-value for data users and reducing the burden on data producers.

Reporting to the Chief Data Architect, the Lead Data Architect will have specific responsibility for developing our data fabric, including the enterprise Defence Data & Analytics Platform (DDAP), across the whole Defence enterprise, including front line operations, suppliers and the various public sector Defence organisations. You will engage with data teams and data users across the Defence enterprise to understand the user needs of the organisation. You will push us to improve our data landscape and champion the use of the right technology to reduce the time-to-value for data users. You will have a relentless focus on productivity and efficiency and ensure the various federated data teams across the Defence enterprise can develop products that give decision makers timely and secure access to high quality data.

As a core member of the data architectural leadership team, you will be key to our data architectural governance, reviewing and refining data architectural outputs from individual Defence organisations, and acting as formal reviewer through your role as member of the Data Architectural Reference Authority, with a specific focus on data management technology. You will support lead data architects in different parts of Defence to develop data architectural plans for their area and champion the importance of data architecture to senior leaders to ensure the continual improvement of Defence’s data landscape.

Responsibilities

1. Ongoing design and adoption of Defence’s data fabric:

Developing, championing and communicating conceptual and logical designs for the data fabric and DAPP to senior and peer stakeholders across Defence
Overseeing procurement and solution design for individual data fabric and DAPP components and supporting their rapid deployment and adoption.
Liaising with business areas and understanding their data product landscape
Overseeing the design of data products/services for a range of Defence data users.

As a Cyber Security Risk Assessor within the CySAAS team, you will lead a team providing timely, impartial and consistent assurance, assessment and advisory services across Defence.

Senior personnel will rely on your expertise to ensure they have an accurate understanding of through-life cyber security risks, so they can make informed business decisions. You will work with projects that involve complex technical and security challenges, which may include highly sensitive networks, cryptography and next-generation military vehicles and weapons systems.

Introduction 

The Parliamentary Security Department (PSD) is responsible for physical and personnel security across both Houses of Parliament and provides support to Members and staff when away from the Estate. Its purpose is to keep Parliament safe and open for business.

The Role 

The Security Information and Risk Analysis Service (SIRAS) is a small team at the centre of Parliamentary Security which receives, stores, analyses and disseminates information about threats to MPs and wider Parliament, and uses this information to drive structured and bespoke risk analysis on the risks to Parliament and its people.

This is a unique role which offers a breadth of experience across security risk analysis and data handling/analytics, and has a real impact on the security of Parliament.

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:

• Commissions and coordinates inputs (information from collection team, vulnerability and mitigation information from MSSS/personal security advisors, previous risk assessment outputs, etc) into the JoPRA process and ensures they are available in a timely manner.
• Tracks and reports on progress of agreed risk mitigation and threat reduction activities.
• Scheduling and prioritisation of risk assessments. On a day-to-day basis, manages risk assessment timetable to ensure all MPs are risk assessed within minimum agreed timescales, and tracks who has been subject to in-depth assessment due to a heightened risk profile or a trigger incident.
• Works collaboratively with two further risk assessment analysts to ensure multiple risk assessment processes can run concurrently.
• Shares data analysis knowledge and experience with other staff in PSD, transferring knowledge and skills to support greater data literacy and exploitation across the department.

Skills and Experience 

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

• Experience of conducting risk assessments. The post holder will be responsible for administering the new Joint Parliamentary Risk Assessment process. As such, experience of conducting or designing risk assessments (particularly in a security environment) would be highly beneficial.
• Ability to work successfully within a team, whilst upholding the values of equality, diversity and inclusion, and that they contribute to efforts to create a positive and inclusive working environment where people are valued for the skills and experience they bring to their work.
• Excellent command of Microsoft O365 data presentation and exploitation tools, particularly PowerBI, Power Apps and Excel. Experience of identifying, structuring and combining data in order to manipulate and present management information data to enable others to gain insight.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The post-holder will need to engage with a wide range of risk assessment stakeholders (including the running of some assessment meetings) and will also be responsible for the recording and tracking of mitigation actions. The ability to communicate clearly, concisely and accurately is therefore essential in this role.
• Strong focus on compliance and clear sense of discretion. Handling information relating to Members and security threats requires a strong adherence to data and other compliance legislation, as well as a clear sense of discretion when it comes to handling potentially sensitive material. The post holder will need to demonstrate that they can manage information in line with both legal and reputational considerations.
• Partnership working. PSD works in close partnership with the Metropolitan Police, and the new risk assessment process will be a multi-agency endeavour, comprising input from PSD, Police forces and government departments. Experience of successful partnership working, effective relationship management, and visible compromise and collaboration will be important in this role.

We play a leading role in delivering the House of Commons' Strategy and corporate priorities through business and financial planning, analysing performance, and supporting the delivery of projects and programmes across Parliament. Equally important are the financial services, systems, accounting, reporting and Members' services that we provide to keep the House of Commons Service working effectively and efficiently on a day-to-day basis.

The Role

The Business Management Team (BMT) is a sub team within FPP and provides executive level support to Directors in FPP and PACT, including secretariat for both senior leadership teams and a comprehensive business support function.

This role will support the Business Management Director (BMD) to deliver strategy and planning support within both teams across FPP and PACT. It is responsible for the development of business plans as well as ensuring agreed plans are monitored and reported appropriately.

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:

• Manage the business management cycle, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of the annual timetable and agreeing deliverables with responsible owners.
• Support the planning process to capture and report strategic objectives for inclusion to the Corporate Business Plan.
• Responsible for maintaining the principle and corporate risk registers for FPP and PACT, and capture the key controls implemented by risk owners to ensure business objectives are met.
• Support the annual assurance process and coordinate the self-assessment returns for submission to the Governance Office.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
