About The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Based Electrical Engineer to join our team on a full time permanent basis, for one of the biggest shopping centres in the South. This role will involve working a variable shift pattern rota of 40 hours per week. One weekend out of every five weeks, with late shifts twice a week - Monday to Friday around client trading hours.

The main area of focus for this role will be Electrical Engineering however occasionally you will also be required to carry out general maintenance and statutory compliance checks and will be required to have basic plumbing and fabric maintenance skills, ideally with experience working in a commercial setting.

The role will require client engagement and a willingness to provide the best possible solutions to meet the client's needs, so you will be required to maintain a smart appearance. You must have a good understand of both spoken and written English.

Early starts and late finishes may be required as part of this role to allow for disruptive works to be completed with minimal disruption to the client. The role also requires you to be able to think proactively arranging materials, providing information for quotations, and managing the clients' expectations

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Planning, inspecting, and carrying out repairs or preventative maintenance as required and responding to breakdowns in a timely fashion.

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• You must have the right to work in the UK
• Ideal C&G Qualified in electrical discipline (18th Edition)
• Must be IT literate to a good standard using Microsoft Word, Excel etc
• NVQ 3 or relevant higher-level qualification in a building discipline
• Experience in a comparable role undertaking basic plumbing, carpentry, redecoration tasks and carrying out statutory ppm inspections with a good understanding of Health & Safety working practices
• Understanding of planned preventative maintenance regimes
• Experience of completing risk assessments and method statements
• Experience using BMS system.
• Knowledge of maintenance schedules and SFG 20 would be desirable
• This is a customer facing role therefore strong customer service skills are required

North Bristol NHS Trust are looking for 2 x Clinical Fellow posts in Anaesthetics (ST3-5) to commence from Jan 2025 for a period of 12 months. These posts have 20% fully remunerated protected time allocated to them for personal professional development.

The following advanced options are available:
1. Trauma
2. Obstetrics
3. Neurosurgery
4. Regional anaesthesia
5. Perioperative Medicine

The successful candidate will be working as an ST 3-5 anaesthetist. The clinical component of the post will include participation in an on-call rota.

NBT covers all surgical specialties except cardiac, ENT and paediatrics. These include general surgery (upper and lower GI and Bariatrics), urology, orthopaedics (elective primary, revision joint replacement, complex spinal and pelvic surgery as well as trauma), plastics and burns, breast, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynaecology and vascular surgery (including 100 renal transplants annually). Robotic surgical services are provided by urology, lower GI and Gynaecological surgery.

NBT has a large theatre complex operating over 2 levels of the Brunel building and a separate obstetric and gynaecology complex. This includes specialist areas for interventional radiology and MRI scans. The 48 bedded Critical Care Unit is divided into four 12 bedded pods and is situated adjacent to the emergency theatres, emergency department and radiology.
NBT is a regional centre for several specialist services including neurosurgery, renal medicine, plastics, burns, orthopaedics, vascular and is one of the two Major Trauma centres in the SW, serving the Severn Network.

The obstetric unit is one of the largest in the UK with over 6,000 deliveries annually, performing 1100 Caesarean sections and 1500 epidurals each year. There is also a neonatal intensive care unit on site.
There is a national prize-winning acute pain and outreach team, chronic pain services including interventional procedures and a perioperative assessment service.

SENIOR CLINICAL FELLOW IN STROKE (ST3 + LEVEL)

North Bristol NHS Trust is looking to appoint Senior Clinical Fellows at ST3 level or above in Stroke for 12 months. Positions commencing Feb/March 2025.

For those who have completed CT/IM level medical training and gained or nearly completed MRCP, these posts will provide registrar level experience and training in stroke and hence be a springboard for NTN applications in neurology or other specialties where experience in neurology or stroke play a significant part.

Salary: £51,017 + enhancements for on call

The roles will be leading on acute admissions, thrombolysis and thrombectomy, HASU/ASU ward rounds at North Bristol NHS Trust. We are looking for experienced band 6 bank staff to join our large, supportive and high profile speech and language team based across Southmead and Cossham Hospitals. Due to staff moves, secondments and maternity leaves we often have short term staffing gaps with bank staff required to help support continued service delivery.


The Speech and Language Service covers a wide range of clinical pathways including stroke, neurosurgery, general medicine and outpatients and support and supervision can be provided by highly experienced band 7 staff in all areas. All inpatient work takes place at Southmead Hospital and the outpatient/community service is provided from both Southmead and Cossham Hospitals.


Successful candidates will need to have achieved post basic dysphagia competencies and have experience of working with adults with acquired swallowing and communication difficulties in a range of clinical areas.

• To provide specialist speech and language therapy (SLT) assessment, diagnosis and treatment to adults with communication and swallowing difficulties following stroke, neurosurgical, acquired neurological and medical disorders
• This post may potentially cover: stroke wards, medical/complex care wards, neurosciences wards, critical care and outpatients
• To manage an inpatient or outpatient caseload as appropriate
• To liaise about patients with the multidisciplinary hospital team and relevant primary care professionals and agencies as appropriate.
• If working with patients in critical care or high dependency beds, to manage patients with tracheostomy or ventilator dependence
• To pursue and acquire ongoing knowledge and expertise for practice with adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties.

Clinical
1. To have responsibility and accountability for the management of own clinical caseload, including referrals, management and discharge decisions, within own level of competence and with appropriate clinical support.
2. To assess and analyse type, severity and impact of all conditions of speech, language and communication impairments in a wide range of adult patients, through a variety of formal and informal assessments/information gathering methods.
3. To record and interpret personally generated clinical observations and provide feedback for clients/carers/professionals and relevant others.
4. To provide differential diagnosis, clinical advice and care plans/therapy to clients with communication and/or feeding and swallowing difficulties, which includes analysis of facts and a comparison of a range of options for appropriate intervention.
5. To recommend appropriate referral for specialist videofluoroscopy (VF) examinations or Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES) as appropriate

Education, Research and Development
1. To seek advice and support when necessary from more senior colleagues, further developing skills in the management of stroke, medical disorders, especially elderly care, neurological diseases and neurosurgical conditions
2. To attend regular clinical supervision sessions
3. To participate in multi/ inter disciplinary and interagency team building where appropriate.
4. To participate in the development and delivery of patient/carer education programmes, as needed.
5. To participate in local clinical governance/audit/research projects by providing data as required and being part of relevant working groups as appropriate.
