As a Director – Enterprise Portfolio Management/PMO - Information Technology, you will participate in developing and implementing IT strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. You will contribute to creating business value, find opportunities for value extraction from enterprise platforms (SAP, ServiceNow, Workday etc), and implement processes to measure & analyze the value generated by enterprise platforms.
This role will be in Fort Worth, TX. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Developing and implementing the ES&A IT strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. Collaborating with other IT/Business functions to integrate IT strategy into the overall company roadmap.
- Developing compelling cases for IT initiatives, clearly articulating the value proposition and benefits to the organization. Preparing IT strategies and proposals presentations for C-level executives, effectively communicating the business impact and return on investment.
- Find opportunities for value extraction from enterprise platforms, implement processes/framework to measure and analyze the value generated by IT initiatives for enterprise platforms (SAP, ServiceNow, Workday etc).
- Identifying and suggesting strategies that reduce costs, boost performance, and ensure enterprise platforms’ longevity.
- Recommending changes in organizational structure or culture to achieve strategic goals.
- Leading IT programs and projects for enterprise platforms, ensuring timely delivery of projects within budget. Leading and prioritize multiple IT projects, balancing resources and timelines effectively. Collaborating with project managers and multi-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.
- Supervise and track the progress of IT initiatives against established cases. Conduct regular evaluations to measure the actual value delivered compared to the projected benefits. Analyze data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimize future initiatives.
- Managing department critical metrics for ES&A – reporting and leading initiatives needed for meeting department critical metrics.
- Leading large events for the departments like Townhalls, Workshops, Roadshows and others.
- Global accountability for the success of portfolio and leadership of a geographically dispersed team responsible for design of strategic programs and projects.
- Alignment to internal methodologies, processes and tools as well as to standards and procedures for reporting and documentation, compliance with relevant legislation and legal interpretation to ensure appropriate audit protection for Alcon.
What You'll Bring To Alcon:
Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +18 yrs; Assoc.+14 yrs; M.S.+7 yrs; PhD+6 yrs)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 10 Years of relevant experience
- 6 Years of demonstrated leadership
Preferred qualifications:
- Validated experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on strategy development, value extraction, program execution, and project management.
- Previous consulting role with focus on strategy highly desirable.
- Previous experience in SAP technologies and managing initiatives highly desirable
- Experience in analyzing and measuring the business value of IT initiatives.
- Strong intuition for business and ability to align IT initiatives with organizational goals.
- Effective presentation skills involve the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely. Excellent PowerPoint abilities for creating visually appealing and educational PowerPoint presentations. Ability to distill intricate technical information into understandable concepts for diverse audiences, including C-level executives, partners, and team members.
- Consistent track record of successfully leading complex IT projects and programs.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams.
