Position Overview

The NMN was set up in 2018 to manage all hard services PPM and reactive work for the DWP contract, due to the success of the NMN averaging 95% SLA for PPM each month and 93% Reactive SLA each month, we have been awarded significant additional Mitie contracts to deliver.

Within the NMN, the Service Delivery team will, using the latest scheduling software (PSO 360), manage the delivery of hard services PPM & reactive works allocated to the NMN for delivery.

The Planner will work to ensure that all of the WO's are in the scheduling system in order for the work to be assigned to the correct engineers.

Planners working pattern is Monday to Friday working on a shift rotation between 7am and 7pm. Current shifts are 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm and 11am-7pm (These are subject to change).

This role is based in our offices near Birmingham International airport and a 5 minute walk from the International train station.

-Lead on Divisional Finance objectives for integration projects activity for any new acquisitions / additions to the Divisional structure (processes/systems/interim processes etc)

-Assist on any core system implementation projects for new acquisition companies, to migrate acquisition companies from legacy to chosen Corporate applications / processes.

-Assist on any core system implementation / upgrade projects for the existing Divisional structure.

-Liaise with IT/Group Transformation/SME teams on any acquisition related projects, to ensure acquisitions are fully embedded into standard Divisional processes, with appropriate controls and governance.

-Help to embed acquisition / transferred businesses into Divisional Finance framework / operating model.

-Help to identify and sponsor any Finance transformation activity within the Division, requiring significant process re-design, improvement initiatives or new process development

About this Role

This is a senior financial appointment and a member of the Divisional senior finance team. At this level will be directly accountable for the financial governance and control of the Division and works with senior managers to ensure that business and operational financial targets are met.

Liaises with group or corporate & statutory bodies & authorities to ensure financial compliance such that all group or corporate & statutory requirements are met.

Strong operational management awareness and high level of integrity with a commitment to embed a strong governance culture, especially in the context of a projects business and the risks inherent in this.

The individual will be qualified - with 5+ years' experience of controls, audit and technical expertise, excellent analytical skills and an ability to understand and solve complex issues. The individual is a good communicator, has excellent stakeholder management skills and be an effective influencer, comfortable working in a matrix environment.

-Answer incoming emails queries.

Head of Sustainability & Decarbonisation

Job Objectives and Responsibilities:The Head of Sustainability & Decarbonisation (HOSD) is a key role to support the delivery of the enhanced Sustainability, Decarbonisation and EMS requirements under the Department for Transport TFM 3rd Generation Contract. The HOSD with be responsible for the development of a strategic and cost-effective approach to the Sustainability and Decarbonisation Plan and associated documents which is aligned wherever possible with both the MITIE and Client Strategic Objectives.

Main DutiesProvide the principal support and ownership for the development and delivery of the Sustainability Management Plan required under the contract during mobilisation, transition, and steady state.Develop and embed the EMS particularly the environmental aspects and impacts assessment and legal compliance register with associated support, training and internal audits.Develop a decarbonisation strategy with the relevant department and business unit leads that is aligned to their decarbonisation and Net Zero objectives.Develop a waste reduction strategy aligned to departmental and business unit targets and objectives including Greening Government Commitments and removal of Consumer Single Use Plastics.Develop the ‘wider' sustainability strategy to incorporate social aspects as well as the current environmental aspects.Establish a monitoring and reporting regime covering all sustainability objectives together with benefits tracking on applicable sustainability projects / tasks.Development of case studies to use both internally and externally.Develop and articulate a strategic approach to identifying opportunities to deliver added value to the client including additional works.Engagement with Strategic Account Director, Head of Operational Delivery, Head of Projects, Head of QSHE Manager and Head of Commercial agreeing sustainability related contractual requirements and ensuring they are met.Undertake the strategic lead on projects and liaison with key client stakeholders, including the identification of funding opportunities & budgets available for sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives.Produce monthly, quarterly and annual client reports.Review and input into Client Sustainability and Net Zero Carbon Strategy reports and plans.Ensure the organisation and the client are compliant with ISO 14000 family of standards.
